I was going to start with something predictably unfunny like "Sorry, I was busting" but that's jaw dropping stupidity. That coach driver won't have a job for long...

I'm guessing then you could only see the queue once you've passed the 'off' ramp ? What a bunch of helmets.

fk me, the coach was definitely the worst. Doing a three point turn on a live motorway? Bye bye job and licence.

Bunch of selfish knobs, but particularly that coach driver.
Never fails to amaze me how badly people drive in sign-written vehicles rolleyes

Like sheep - one does it and the rest follow. They should ban the lot of them.

At least most of them had the good sense to put their hazard lights on as they drove up the wrong way...

Seen a lot worse than that. Hardly high speed danger stuff is it? The wombles may have ushered them off that way anyway.

I once got stuck on the way back from Germany in 2008, we were a mile past the slip road (motorway split?), when we came to a halt due to a bad accident further on. Within half an hour, the police were making us do 3 point turns, and then got diverted onto the other motorway. A very sensible result.

But it seems in this country, regardless how bad the accident has been (how the fk people don't lose their licence for crashing on a straight fking road is beyond me!), traffic officers (or their regulations) are happy to let thousands of people (women, children, fluffy toys etc), stay stuck in their cars with no relief for what could be many hours!

I mean, seriously? Is there no common sense in the upper echelons of the police to provide exceptions to the rule?

As for 'PC Dave Lee' saying "these drivers were putting everyone at risk", no, unless they were leathering it up the slip road in the main part, they weren't!

Grrr! Rant over!

ETA: Ok, 1 or 2 did deserve a severe talking to, but most went up on the hard shoulder. HTOs should've been blocking the entrance and assisting the escape of people IF the accident warranted...

You do not and should not expect to meet an oncoming vehicle travelling the wrong way on a motorway ... bottom line. Imagine being on a motorcycle accelerating up the slip road to be met with the front of a coach ?

Morons of the highest order and any driver caught doing that ( from the footage ) should have a 1 year ban at the very least. Honestly , this country is going down the plug hole....
