This is the build thread of the Seat Cupra that crashed, appears it was agressively mapped and struggling with traction

I had a Stage2+ LCR with Quaife LSD fitted and yeh they did like to spin up.

My MK3 Cupra 280 Stage2 doesn't spin up half as much.

'but even quarter pedal it wants to spin, to my friends it's known as a 'very angry car' apparently it has 'issues' as it try's to kill you, all part of the fun I say'

God reading part was difficult.

Always sad to see things like this happen. RIP both.

Sad news, nothing on the forums to sugest he was normally reckless, probably just an enthusiast like us that just miscalculated something frown
Really sad reading that. His Mrs didn't want to go on this tour, so he had a holiday booked for September to keep her happy.

Drive carefully guys.

It is, you're right. He was planning a 4wd conversion to better handle the power.

Age has given me a bit of a phobia about unguarded or badly guarded mountain roads. Didn't bother me in the past but I'm now conscious that a front wheel puncture (or whatever) could have me plunging to an ugly death.
Eh?
Seems pretty self explanatory, what do you not follow?

The guy posted this video 3 days ago https://www.facebook.com/joshrobinson.jr/videos/10... At 3 mins he says he's doing 100 mph..in a modded car with lots of extra power, but grip problems...on a busy public road crowded with cyclists, Transits, you name it...participating in an event billed as making you look like a 'rally legend'. And everyone says they're shocked. Hmmm. I don't see how there was anything unsurprising about it. This is what young men do - and sometimes it doesn't work out. I must have done literally hundreds of things at least as reckless as this, from the age of 17 on, in cars, vans, on motorbikes, push bikes. I'm still here, the lads in the Seat aren't. We're all mortal.

Tragic, RIP.

It isn't. frown

However, it is fairly obvious he was a decent sort overall, not some kind of thug, he just couldn't quite control his right foot, which has ended up being his undoing at such an early age.

I'm so glad that, despite my car enthusiasm, I'm able to keep any right foot urges under control.

oh dear, it does look rather bad for them now, 100mph in a built up area is very silly.
