It doesn't really though, does it. Fast and Furious wasn't actually a documentary.
It does though, the difference between driving at 70 to 110 feels a lot less than between 110 and 140 the motorway (sorry Autobahn) isn't that straight any more and the speed differential between you and lorries is huge.

Imagine driving up a 2-lane motorway at 80 mph with parked vehicles in the inside lane - each with driver in his seat, engine running and car in gear ready to pull out in front of you at any moment. yikes
