Hi Guys,

http://www.carcamerashop.co.uk

We sell the largest range of car cameras in the UK from budget to top of the range including dual lens, GPS maps, parking protection, built-in sat nav, and all come with full HD quality. We offer plenty of advice and guidance to customers including lots of PistonHeads users and now offer a mobile installation service anywhere in the UK.

I was hoping we can use this thread to discuss any dash cam related questions and to even share any footage you've captured! Dashcams are the latest in video cameras and a new concept to most people so please ask us - we pride ourselves on service so fire away!

We're also offering a 5% discount to all PistonHeads users. Just enter the code PHEADFP on the checkout.

Hi guys,

What dash cam could you recommend me for my Audi a4 cabriolet? Would like a small discrete unit with the best hd output possible. Budget no issue. Look forward to seeing what you guys recommend and will buy it from your site...

Hi Freedomfighter,

Do you have a preference to the features you're looking for? GPS maps, g-sensor, parking protection? If you want discreet and best quality video then the Mobius is a great little camera. It's the one I have in my car personally. It doesn't have the features of many dash cams but if you just want great video from a small camera this is the best out there.

There are plenty of others but it really depends on what you're looking for. You'll be limited to just a front camera (being a cab you won't get a camera for the rear). Some customers prefer a camera with a screen to using a mobile app, and others want the camera hardwired for an even more discreet installation.

We have a buyers guide which talks through the different options so take a look and let me know what you're looking for and we'll narrow down the most suitable camera for you:

So sad that PH has come to this. Used to be an enthusiasts forum. No longer it seems.

OP,

I very frequently drive without paying any attention whatsoever to impending situations, and / or go out looking for trouble and people to yell at. Do any of your dashcams automatically upload to youtube so that I can show the world how much of a dick everyone else is?

From what I can see any dashcam is £15-20 more than other vendors. It might be that car camera shop offer superior service, hence the additional cost, I don't have any direct experience...
