I know a young guy called Ayrton, think he was named in tribute. It has the advantage of being quite distinctive...

That's a good question, because the following could be appropriate:

Brands

Hocken

Nurburg

Silver

Congratulations OP!

Don't suppose Cosworth would get past the committee?

Failing that most of the good 60's ones seem to have been mentioned, but I didn't see a mention of Mike as in Hawthorne (or Hailwood if you like bikes too), Phil as in Hill or Dan as in Gurney - could even consider John as in Surtees. Nobody likely to ever win world titles on both 2 and 4 wheels again.

If 70's can be considered I like the idea of Gerry or Ayrton, or maybe James as in Hunt - that must get past the committee surely?

More recently if you like bikes would Valentino work?

Good luck anyway and enjoy the toy shopping!

how about making the initials into something,

obviously dependent of your surname.

Clearly if the naming committee are two strict then concede on the first name, lay claim to the middle name and go wild with it...
