Sorry to say this but, unless the car does not have a knock sensor, then the map is ste. I've had a few cars remapped and they run fine on 95RON - you just don't get the performance out of them.
Modern cars have knock sensors to detect knock and will retard the spark accordingly. You won't get the power (or the economy) but it should run safe with no detonation.

If your car does not have an active knock sensor then I can understand this. Is it an aftermarket ECU? Does it have the ability to store 2 maps - a 99RON and a 95RON one?
Depends on how highly modified it is and what power it's running. If you spent £20k on an engine, would you want to put 95 RON in it and hope for the best? I guess he's not talking about a £300/40hp remap from SuperChips.

Anyway, to the OP, stop worrying. There are plenty of places to get SUL and if you are worried, take a couple of tins of Power Pour just in case. That stuff really does work.

If you're going through Heysham, there's a Shell in Lancaster to fill it up in before the ferry

Hope you get better weather than I had last weekend

Many very highly tuned and powerful cars don't have the ability to detect knock and deal with it accordingly.
Many badly tuned and very old cars perhaps.
