After watching an old Top Gear clip, i was wondering where it was filmed. I would love to take my XFR there.
Does anyone know where this is?

Devonshire according to the sign outside the cafe advertising Devonshire Cream Teas. Searching for the cafe on Google Maps it's this area.

That is indeed, Exmoor.
Visited last year and spent 2 hours driving around there early on Sunday morning. Utterly beautiful and had it all to myself
EDIT: my route and photos detailed here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=140...

Thanks for the link, and i've now located the last bit of that video clip, the top of the A39. Visited last year and spent 2 hours driving around there early on Sunday morning. Utterly beautiful and had it all to myself

This place looks absolutely amazing and i'm planning to get down there asap.
Cheers all
Wow, just wow (profile pic updated).
I took the advice and left my hotel in Barnstable around 5:45 am and drove up the North Road (A39) on Saturday.
All the windows were down, the heated seats and heated steering were on, with 26c of heat blasting through the car. The Bowers and Wilkins car audio was turned off.
By the time i got to Shirwell Road, the car was warm and the pops were audible through the new Spires exhaust pipes, i was already grinning like a Cheshire cat.
My first hairpin was taken and the back end slipped out a bit, tyres were still a bit cold as hardly any power was being put through the pair of 285s, so i left the quick driving until i got past the Blackmoor gate junction.
Once on the hill i opened up the Jag, which gripped and pulled like a train all the way up. But the low sun was limiting my vision once i got past the trees and i had to clam it down a bit; until i started to drive away from from the east or down into the valley.
The road around this area were wonderful, as i was driving down into a valley there was a covering of fog on the road, i've never seen this before; it was like i was driving on a cloud.
But it was only when i got to Contisbury Hill that things become sublime.
Climbing up that hill and seeing the sea to the right, i had to stop to take some pictures and just take in the wonderful view.
With no other traffic around and with very little wind, it was eerily quite.
With the car parked in the bay on the opposite side of the road, all i could hear was the sound of the waves below and the ticking of the exhaust as it cools
I pretty much cracked on through the moors, stopping a few times to take in the scenery, the fresh air and waiting for sheep to move out of the road. The twisty part or Porlock hill was a joy, especially with a bit of drifting, and the sounds of the exhaust as it reverberated off the building in the narrow streets, aural bliss. This was also true when passing through Watersmeet Road.
The journey was thoroughly enjoyed all the way, to Williton.
At this point i was in desperate need for a petrol station. I was averaging 11 MPG and with a 30 mile range left in the tank, i wasn't feeling confident with another blat. Thankfully there was a Shell garage there, so i filled up with some V-Power, cleaned the car (well why not ) and then headed back the same way; by now it was around 08:30.
With the rising sun behind me, there was no longer the fear of blinding and the way back was even more joyous. Through the moors, i counted 4 cars on the way out and 6 cars on the way back. These roads were built for drivers to enjoy in the summer. And if you have the chance, i would highly recommend the A39 to any petrol head.
Next time i'm out there and with more time, i will make use of the B roads as well. The B3223 and the B3224 looks like a blast.
I'll see if i can upload some pictures later.
