This might well be the case, haven't driven one, so can't comment directly.
So far so good...

But based on past smarts, most of them have driven well, some ever so.
Oh dear.

Jesus H Christ. Are you being wilfully obtuse?

He said one can't comment on experiencing the new one directly as it's not been released/tested yet. One CAN, however, comment on the previous ones as they have been available to the public for a long time now. Therefore the inference between the old car to the new one isn't invalid.

We get it. You don't like the Smart. Fine - it's not for you. Now get over yourself.

Small brakes on the front suggest quite a lower power output. I'm going to guess 115bhp. Should be a decent competitor to other warmish hatch backs though, especially being turbo. Something the Swift Sport really could do with.

After seeing a few on the road, its actually growing on me.
Same here. I've driven a ForFour, and it's actually quite good fun. It's never going to set a Ring record but it looks cute, it handles well for a car in this segment, it has a comically small turning circle, the interior is very decent quality, it's quirky, and it puts a smile on your face. It's expensive, but one of my local dealers is already offering substantial discounts, and the Renault Twingo - which is mechanically the same - is quite a bit cheaper.

I've been waiting for the dual-clutch auto ("Twinamic") version to come out before deciding whether to take the plunge, but I might wait for this Brabus version instead smile

The Twingo looks better IMO. they're not that different, maybe it's because the new ForFours I've seen so far were specced in some really, really nasty colour combos.

You could always ask him whether he's actually driven the old ones. wink

Hopefully should handle well enough to keep up with a badly driven tvr.

Looks Awful - like one of those obscure models that are popular in China

In a world of unattractive cars that still manages to stand out as absolutely fking awful. Impressive.

Orange and grey? That was a limited edition for the launch.

IMO, on paper, this has a lot of potential -- even with 115 PS. It should have a real weigh of under a ton, engine and drive at the rear, manual gear box available. Could be the ultimate warm hatch, no?

But I have doubts Brabus are going to deliver. All they did so far with Smart cars is up the power a bit and then stick very heavy, very oversized alloys to them. Execption perhaps the old 44.

I hope I'm wrong, but my guess is this is going to be more of the same: 110 PS, limiter upped to 170, fat wheels, bit stiffer suspension, worse turning circle, same or worse ESP. Might actually be less fun than the 90 PS version...

Such a crying shame if this was to be the case. Cmon Brabus, Renault Sport! Get your fingers out...
