Sunflower yellow Clio 172.

My picture and my old car biggrin

Only 31 in the UK in this colour, well there was when new. I finished this one off and I know 6 more have met their demise.
Lol. I just did a quick google search and this was one of the first pictures that came up.
A friend of a friend has one of these that used to be supercharged. Great colour, really makes them stand out.

Only ever seen one of these

I thought they were more common than the dire looks would have suggested. Were they offered at a discount? I've seen a few over the years and always wondered. What does the colour show as on the DVLA record?
The answer is "Multi-colour"!

I didn't expect them to actually have that either.
Harlequin Mk3 Golfs and Polo's were originally just a motor show special, but proved so popular they were put in to production. 264 Mk3 Golfs were made for the U.S., and 3800 Polo's were made. Each specific colour combo is 4 times rarer than the amount produced, due to how they were made as single colour then panels swapped between 4 cars.

Girlfriend has one of these. No one thinks Merlot sounds like a good colour for a e85 until they see it for real. I'm just happy it's not grey, silver or black!
That looks a bit like an internal organ.

I think they're great. I'm glad that a mainstream car manufacturer made something so quirky.

I pretty much hanker after any car in that primer grey colour especially fast Audis and the Clio 200.
Do you mean Nardo Grey? If you do, I have a photo!

Also a fan of Nimbus Grey from the Mk1 TT, with the baseball stitching on the seats.

Seen a new 4-series in a sort of metallic grape colour? Might have been techno-purple. I had a look on the on-line configurator and thought it might be Smoked Topaz, but that looks more brown? Its the only one I have seen like that, the rest have been different monotone shades or that Estoril Blue which is getting a bit samey now.

ETA: Just google image searched it and yeah I think its that one. Looks more purple to my eyes in some lights. Either way I can see why they aren't selling many in that colour because on a monitor or in a brochure that colour doesn't come across very well at all. It looks murky.

White Audi A4 are a rare breed

I presume that's a tongue in cheek? hehe

I like this, but apparently it's one of the default colours so probably rare because it's still new.

Looks very smart in the flesh!

Remember also seeing an A5 with the black edition wheels in this colour:

looked lovely, though I think it might have been a brighter shade than this.

Clio 182 in petrol blue.

never seen one, very interesting
I remember speccing up a new 182 for my wife, and IIRC, the Petrol Blue was a very expensive option, more expensive than any other colour. It looks very nice, though.
Liquid yellow metallic was another expensive and ultimately rare colour on the 182
£1200, part of the ID Paint Pack, along with Racing Blue and Inferno Orange, amongst others.
While liquid yellow cars are definitely less common (and seem to command a premium) than inferno orange and the other colours, petrol blue is by far the rarest colour. I have never seen one for sale let alone on the road.

Thanks laugh

I'm glad I held out for one in this colour.
How long did you wait? I tried to get my R33 in blue or midnight pearl but the only ones that came up where only 3's or 3.5's and abit scruffy. Despite mine being black it's still an amazing car and deservedly was a 4 biggrin

My mother enquired about these when they were new, assuming, like you that these must be discounted. The salesman looked at her as though she had 2 heads and bemusedly informed her that they cost the same as any other VW.
my french teacher had one of these, saw it every day at school growing up, it was rarer than rocking horse s**t too then!
