Petrol mica, another lovely individual colour from BMW ticked along with pretty much every other option when the car was specced. I've never seen another in the same colour.

Goes blue/green depending on the light

When I wanted a paint stick for it shortly after buying it the service person said there was one available in Europe... he got it for me biggrin

I can't ever recall seeing another Merc in this colour:
(Cue dozens of photos of similar coloured Mercs)

I should hope not either.

It's horrific.

I'm fairly confident that it's not an official Mercedes colour. In which case, wrap or respray.

They come in yellow, but this seems brighter and more green? Very bright with matching seats!

An "earthy" coloured Golf V5. No UK dealer sticker or number plates.

Is that not just Grey Anthracite? My first car was a Polo in that colour. Volkswagen discontinued that particular shade of grey a few years ago, replacing it with Blue Graphite that varied between blue and grey depending on how it caught the light, so the number of cars still on the road in that colour is dwindling. It wasn't rare as a new order though.

I ran around in a 172 Exclusive for a while. Scarab Green was a great colour when clean.

Just before the whole VW nonsense my dad was looking at getting a Passat Alltrack in Crimson Red which seems a pretty rare colour, even though it looks awesome.

A little shameless as it's my car but my T350 is one of only 3 TVRs (the others being a Tuscan and a wedge) in Toyota blackish red. My wife has christened it Dr Pepper as it can look, black, purple, brown or red depending on the light/shade. When the sun hits it the metallic red fires through;

Wait, whats up with that fuel cap? Is that aftermarket?

Anyone who has run a T350 knows what the original is like eek

A few of the last T350's (before the factory closed) had this fuel filler. Smolenski was fed up with the back pressure build up on the old type that chucked fuel out everywhere on opening.

It's a Sag filler conversion, done earlier this year for me by the guys at surface and design when it also had the colour change to what you now see. They also did a bit of rerouting to the internal pipework to further reduce back pressure.
Only 1 350 ever left the factory with this done and I believe there was another pHer who did this conversion himself so AFAIK only 3 out there.
It does however, mean I can now fill up full flow with no blowback smile

thumbup

Filling the old T350 was always "an event", firstly it would blow back and secondly it would keep knocking the pump off when trying to fill it. Refuelling was one of the negatives of owning the T350, good to see there's a way around the issue though smile

The dealership I work at has an Audi TT in a similar colour, called Classic Red. £1700 to have that colour from brand new! No wonder it's rare!

on AutoTrader I've seen a couple of Mk 7.5 Fiestas in Candy Red, thought you could only get that colour on the Focus

Oh I'm not so sure Vauxhall made loads of pink cars in the late 80's and early 90's

It is apache red.

Thought it would be easy to find a guards red 996 Carrera 2..... appears that 10-15yrs ago silver, blue and black were the preferred colours.
