That used to be quite a common colour, in period, IIRC?

I remember it not being especially rare when the cars were current too.

Some lovely colours here.

When looking at the brochure for my own car, I noticed a couple of striking ones in the 2009ish Jaguar range:

Lazuli Blue

Emerald Fire

I'm working in St Albans today and there's one of these in this exact colour outside the office.

To be honest in this dull weather it's not particularly striking but must look great in the sunshine.

Friend of mine has a Discovery 4 in Montalcino Red, looks excellent and very rarely see another. (Before anyone says anything, I know this is not a D4 wink)

Another rare LR colour that looks good is Zanzibar

Took me a year to find my next dd, I was looking at a 205 but held out for this, almost 6 years old, I am the 5th owner 29,000 miles. Apart from a few small kerb marks on the wheels it looks brand new both inside and out. All boxes ticked on the options list, £63,300.00 new, I am very very happy with her. Not seen another Fire Opal Red one, she is a keeper.

Thank you, Black Nappa Leather with Black headlining. I have had it for 5 months now and when I start her from cold I stand behind her and wait until the exhaust revs drop after 30 seconds or so, is it acceptable to do this at 58 years old.

Without checking I didn't know if it was a regular Bentley colour, the owner has had a few wraps on other cars in the past.

205 Gti in Topaz Blue. It was only available for one year.

I had the 309 GTI in the same colour, never seen another out in the wild.

My Merc's quite a rare one - Bornite Metallic, I think it was special order:

And my latest acquisition P38 is in a colour I've not seen before:
