50k is for one with ceramics, which neither the 4C or the F-Type have as standard.
So it's a 40k hatch then, and you'll probably say that's still a lot for a hatchback. But I bet if they make another TTRS with that engine, it'll be absolutely fine, because it'll be less practical and somehow that makes more sense.

Don't think many people would walk in and drop £50K on one of these. They will happy buy into the dream on the never-never though. Enthusiasts will wait for 7-8 years when they're worth £6500
There will be quite a number of them in Aberdeen I suspect, not sure about anywhere else.I was down to Dunfermline this part weekend for SLS time attack event at Knockhill, anyway, my point is there were not much Audi's going about at all. It wasn't just me, my mate also commented that there were noticeably far less Audi's than in the Granite City.
It is actually comical how much new/newish Audi's there are in Aberdeen.

John Clark Aberdeen Audi is the most profitable audi dealership in the UK if I remember correctly. What I'm trying to say is this RS3 work 10k more (at £40k) than a Golf R/M135i/Focus RS? I know some people don't like the Golf R or the BMW, but for 10k you can make one of them a lot more special. The Focus RS is it's biggest rival, but I can't see the Focus being 40 grand basic? So it's a 40k hatch then, and you'll probably say that's still a lot for a hatchback. So people who buy their cars new aren't enthusiasts?Without the 'idiots' buying these cars new the so called 'enthusiasts' wouldn't have any cars to buy.
Wishful thinking on the £6500 I think too given that 4 year old cars are still £27k+

Given the lack of depreciation I can imagine that there are some wealthy buyers out there doing some good PCP deals due to the very strong residuals even with the APR in play.

A compact fast all wheel drive Audi works every day in nearly every situation, the rear drive BMW or front drive GTi would often be limited by weather conditions in this country.
Really? I could never bring myself to buy an Audi, let alone spend that much on one. I would buy anything else and spend the 1 day a year when a BMW for instance 'doesn't work'on the bus.JimmyConwayNW said:

And Edinburgh Audi is one of the worst dealerships I've ever walked into. While Eastern BMW and Merceded Of Edinburgh have vastly superior customer service, hence more Beemers and Mercs. Gavin0478 said:

What section are the Audi tyres? 235? Good luck on standing water or snow with those.Edited by KarlMac on Thursday 30th July 18:46

On paper maybe, but not in reality.
Yes. Badge snobbery will favour the Audi, though I suspect anyone wanting a decent drive that doesn't involve terminal understeer should go speak to the local Ford dealer. I'd take the Ford over the Audi, even if they cost the same. I suspect it'll be something special...Ali_T said:

The Autoexpress comparison with an M3, RS3 and a new CTR with Steve Sutcliffe I watched says that it understeers. So another typical Audi product. Fast, but doesn't handle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3n7zhb7aN8
