re: the bugatti verywrong. some one has done an awfull lot of work to try and copy one of the ugliest supercars ever made, the base car was probably better looking.

The problem is all it takes is a minor shunt from an idiot on the road and you end up with horrendous injuries and they walk away without a scratch.

Different people have different priorities... for me "safety" simply isn't on the list. If it's more important for you than how a car drives, that's fine. You're almost certainly in the majority.

It's not a binary choice.
If I ever build a kit, it will get side intrusion bars and some sort of protection for legs, if it doesn't have them already. I'd rather add a few kg to the weight and have some protection from being t-boned.
It will still never be as safe in a crash as a 2015 sedan, but it doesn't have to crumple like tissue paper.

You could say that about driving a classic car or riding a motorbike. It's a question of weighing up the enjoyment of life against the slight risk of shortening it.
