You and me both, although only without the Ferrari badges, it looks like a caricature rather than an imitation.
Probably helps that the wing is OEM, although I feel the sill could have been done better.

How about a Bugatti Verywrong? Or at least I think this is a replica. May have to check the image source to make sure that these aren't Bugatti press shots....

re: the bugatti verywrong. some one has done an awfull lot of work to try and copy one of the ugliest supercars ever made, the base car was probably better looking.

I like the silly "Bugatti" and "Ferrari F40" ones. Shows someone has a sense of humour.

ETA - actually the image name says a Suzuki, so must have once been a Swift

Now it's finished I think it looks alright actually! Obviously would be better with an engine transplant or to be charged to suit the looks.

From page 2 in this thread, deserves another look. Where would you source a windscreen for such a masterpiece? Anyone have any info on what it's been created from?

Edit, reminds me of Clockwork Orange car.

Even kit cars not trying to be fake super cars are terrible. The fact they don't have to comply with crash safety requirements is incredible.
...and I sincerely hope it stays that way or they'll end up as bloated and crap to drive as "proper" cars have become.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's a sit-on lawn mower, but that might have been wrong.

That is simply inspired in it's utter terribleness.

How much fun would it be to build something like that on a properly quick donor car and go looking to wind people up?

The problem is all it takes is a minor shunt from an idiot on the road and you end up with horrendous injuries and they walk away without a scratch.

Different people have different priorities... for me "safety" simply isn't on the list. If it's more important for you than how a car drives, that's fine. You're almost certainly in the majority. smile

It's not a binary choice.
If I ever build a kit, it will get side intrusion bars and some sort of protection for legs, if it doesn't have them already. I'd rather add a few kg to the weight and have some protection from being t-boned.
It will still never be as safe in a crash as a 2015 sedan, but it doesn't have to crumple like tissue paper.

You could say that about driving a classic car or riding a motorbike. It's a question of weighing up the enjoyment of life against the slight risk of shortening it.
