Like turning down Charlize Theron because you don't like the colour of her dress............
I think turning down Charlize Theron because her body was put into Ann Widdecombe's skin is closer to the mark.

It's heavier than a GT-R. That's quite amusing.

Totally. There are things that are pointless and awesome, i.e. this: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-americancars/ro...

This however is a pointless and awful and a waste of Gtr engine.

Love the creativity.

I just want to know what they cost to buy, to compare it with other cars. If it works in the marketplace, then bring it on.

There is no word yet on whether the 2.0 will be made, but it’s likely considering that the old Juke-R was made available in very limited numbers for an eye-watering £400,000.

"The production Juke-R will stick closely to the script of the two original concepts, with the running gear of a GT-R put into a heavily modified version of the standard Juke's bodyshell. There's no news on price, although we're told that it will be 'very high' - the cost of donor cars, so around £100,000, then four months bespoke build cost"

http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/282865/nissan_ju...

I'm half-sure there was a figure of around £400,000 touted, and I imagine 4 months bespoke build cost could run close to £300k.

Bonkers - yes.
Otherwise a complete waste of a perfectly good GTR engine in a horrid, ulgy quasi-suv aptly nicknamed Joke.
You want to do something sensible? Stick it into Infiniti M and make a RS/M/AMG competitor.
Err, the fact that they've done it to a Juke is the whole point. Because it's not a looker, mad, silly, pointless, good fun, amusing, etc etc

Actually I think a GTR is a waste of a GR engine. It looks fat and lardy and in fact is rather fat and lardy. At least the Juke isn't trying to be anything other than what it is. It flaunts it's 'looks' and that's the point. I love this and would alays have it over a GTR.

If I wanted a fast, tidy handling coupe I'd get an F type R

You were doing well up to and including "pointless". I don't see this as being "good fun" but then again I don't find SUVs fun no matter what the engine is. All the magic in the world isn't going to make a tall SUV handle like a low slung sports car. And it certainly isn't amusing. But every one to its own I suppose. BMW X6M is selling so there has to be a market for monstrosities of such kind.

It isn't a design proposal ffs, it's something they've done for a bit of a laugh, because they can. Good for Nissan for having a less tedious attitude than you.

Ha, 600 horse in a Juke, sounds fun. It's bonkers for sure, I'm amused and pleased it exists but who seriously buys one of these instead of a GTR, or anything else for that matter? And how much is it anyway?

You can stick a fork in your eye. Doesn't mean it's a good idea.
I don't know about tedious but Nissan definitely has a different sense of humour. For me things can be wild and bonkers but have to make at least a little bit of sense otherwise they are random nonsense. And this Juke fits in that category.

Let's put it this way. Fitting this car with a GTR engine is to me the same level of pointlessness as fitting a Ferrari engine to Fiat Multipla.

£400,000 for that? Stooooopid money!
I paid £16,500 for one of my current vehicles and the Juke wouldn't see which way i went!
Mind you it's only one-wheel drive in fairness!
