How do you deal with MLMs?

Most of the time just do nothing, there are more important things in life.
But if I'm feeling peeved off them I under/overtake them and then cut right in front of them. Works especially well when it's wet.
Hmm, I'd stick with the first one. 2nd one makes you worse than them. Stupid AND dangerous. But if I'm feeling peeved off them I under/overtake them and then cut right in front of them. Works especially well when it's wet.
In the last few weeks, I have had a very high success rate doing the following:-
(1) Flash lights while in L1.
(2) Indicate right.
A couple of people have noticed, indicated left and moved back into L1 at this point.
If not:-
(3) Move into L2.
(4) Cancel indicator. Pause.
(5) Indicate right again.
Most people move over at this point.
If not:-
(6) Overtake in L3.
(7) Indicate left and move into L2.
(8) Cancel indicator. Pause.
(9) Indicate left again
(10) Accelerate as moving into L1 (code for "Look! You can go fast in this lane!").
I think the car has always moved into L1 after these steps (and a few have acknowledged with a brief flash of hazard lights).
If the MLM is in L3 of 4, I always remain in L1 to pass. If he is L2, I take a view as to whether he may move back across without warning. In a faster car, I am more likely to remain in L1, keep a careful eye on the MLM and be prepared to accelerate hard if he shows signs of life.

I tend to just drive to my destination and ignore them. Life is too short.(1) Flash lights while in L1.

I'm actually jealous that you've managed to provoke a response!(1) Flash lights while in L1.

If I try any sort of signalling, I'm met with either blank looks or aggressive responses.
A tiny proportion of the population are actually aware what they are doing is incorrect
My tactic varies slightly, depending on circumstances. If they are sat in Lane 2/3 and have been, without overtaking, for some time, if I happen to catch up with them and am keeping up with traffic in my lane, I'll pass them without moving. I may then put my left-hand indicator on as I pass. If they are simply taking ages to return to L1 after a lorry or coach overtake, I'll move into L3, pull round them and back into L2 and put my indicator on as I move from L2-1. I know that this will mean nothing to most of them, but it makes me feel somewhat better. It's cathartic.

I usually find the next thing that happens is the MLM breezes past me again. If I speed up, so do they.(6) Overtake in L3.

Even the M6 Toll was full of 'em yesterday heading north at tea-time.
