I was kind of on the cyclists side until he starts laughing like a simpleton thinking he's won another argument, and then ran away like a little bh when the driver got out the car. All billy big balls until it's crunch time. Don't start what you can't finish.

this current trend of confronting somebody and sticking a camera in their face is going to end in tears for one of them.

i got overtaken in a similar manner by a man in a 3series touring, when i caught up to him i knocked on the window.. as the glass went down I saw it was a burley skin head with tattoos on his head and different coloured eyes. in an instant i dropped wanting to rant and told him "next time you overtake a cyclist can you please give some more room"

The only thing he did wrong IMHO was chasing after fatty Arbuckle.
Overtake was idiotic impatience. Narrow road with cars parked both sides, high chance of somebody swinging one of those car doors open causing cyclist to swerve and what's more, there's a completely perfect bit of road for an overtake less than 50 meters ahead.
Nothing wrong with that overtake. I get passed like that all the time, no issue from me. Cyclist had loads of room on his ns and the driver left enough too. Then again, I ride without a camera strapped to my head.
You seriously think this is good overtake?
According to this cyclist it's plenty of room, at least for him when he's stopping to yell at another driver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0j9odLRk8c

Yeah, it could be 2 feet or 2 inches, but it was most definitely well substandard and impatient.

Gixer said there was nothing wrong with it, which I was taking issue with.
Look at my previous post. Why is he still out in the middle of the road? Look at all that room he could give himself.

If you go out looking for trouble, generally you are going to find trouble. Regardless of what you are in or on.

I get passed closer than that every day. I don't chase after drivers to gob off at them.

You shouldn't cycle in between parked cars and also at least a doors width away from parked cars (cos I've had one open on me) and the Pug driver, for the sake of a couple of seconds delay in reaching the junction, seriously is it worth the close shave he gave the cyclist?

Personally I hoped it would end with 405 man falling onto the bike causing a heap of detritus in the gutter where they both belong (cycleman should surely not have been riding at that speed on the pavement, but hey elderly pedestrians, those with visual impairments or other disabilities are not important to Lycra-clad gods/tw*ta like him) and the camera getting fcensoredd so we didn't have to endure more of this holier that thou sh*t.

Maybe next time they may both find themselves in Finedon, Sussex. laugh

Guy on bike is clearly scared when confronted, so I don't know why he bothered. Yes ideally the driver should have waited, but it's not worth getting punched over. Also why isn't he wearing a helmet if he's bothered about safety?!
Personally I'd wear at least wear body armour and a helmet if I rode a bike on the roads, because it's so easy to die.

Rubbish. That's a massive gap between the cars, you wouldn't move in to allow one car by? As for doors, ever thought of looking at what you're doing to see if anyone is in the car? Doors don't open themselves. I've never had a door open on me, and never had issues. Maybe that's because I try to be courteous and don't go out of my way to look the trouble. Close shave? You need to cycle round here.

He seems suddenly deflated when the lorry driver just says sorry. He is definitely fishing for aggressive confrontations to film by the looks of things.

The noxious chopper in the Pug really gave himself what he deserved. Ghastly human.

I wonder how he explained the face damage to his son when he staggered back to the car?

Big conundrum, do you let your son think you just got bh slapped by a mincer on a pushbike or tell him you're such a malcolm you smashed yourself up. rofl

Without a doubt but he does have at least one amusing video that wasn't his own making. Not sure how the truck driver got into that position in the first place though biggrin

Good thinking probably!

Out of curiosity what were you planning before you realised he was a big guy with tats and no hair in a BM - just so I know how to communicate with the next 2 wheeled tw*t I meet.

P.S. what is "burley" - do you mean "burly" or "barley" - we only have one language so may as well use it appropriately FFS!

'i have a camera - its all on youtube'
These stupid people really need to get life. I think these people have fundamental inferiority issues and think having cameras all over their bike somehow makes them automatically in the right.
They clearly go out looking for trouble just to make some sort of point or good video.
Strange people.
If they had any balls they would deal with the situation themselves without needing the virtual backup of YouTube

It's interesting really - I've driven cars, ridden motorbikes and cycled around - I've seen an enormous number of people do an enormous number of dumbass things, but I've never once felt the need to film any of it. Without doubt I've done quite a few dumbass things myself, but though pure luck I've never damaged any vehicle that I've been in charge of - but luck is all that I've had on my side.

We all fk up sometimes - if we're fortunate then either nobody is watching, or the people around us are sharp enough to avoid a collision, so I really don't understand why people get so upset when another person makes a perfectly innocent misjudgement in front of them. But I also don't understand why a person that makes a mistake can't hold their hands up and apologise to somebody for it. If either of the people in the clip followed this advice then the video would never have reached the internet, but once again two absolute dheads have met each other in public and nobody wants to back down.

fk 'em. Both of them.

The way people behave when carrying a camera is an embarrassment. It's just not normal at all.
