Latest comment from the video poster would indicate the driver was arrested and accepted a caution.

Looking at his other youtube videos he is eventually going to chase and confront the wrong person. Complete bone head.

I feel sorry for the kid in the car and to a certain degree the Dad (?) for being put into such an unfortunate position. He didn't try to push the cyclist off and to be honest the only harm inflicted was by the militant cyclist.

The angry cyclist could have inflicted his views upon any of us. I'm really not sure how many of us would have reacted very differently given the circumstances. In my case I doubt I could have ignored and smiled sweetly at the prick.

Yep, and then he will be in the news again for all the wrong reasons.

Hope both muppets involved learn from this and move on (probably won't happen though rolleyes)

Which is probably made up to make himself feel better.

Without watching the whole video or reading any of the thread so far it looks as though the cyclist was being a prick. Taking up far more room than he needed.

According to this cyclist it's plenty of room, at least for him when he's stopping to yell at another driver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0j9odLRk8c

The "overtake into a junction" didn't look that bad (put the flamethrowers away, I live in Cambridge where cycling is a necessity because the traffic sucks thanks to the car hating council), but the "I'm not happy" - the poor delicate flower!

Nor to me - well clear of Henry Headcam. What was the quote "I'm not happy because..." FFS man, get a life.

It was a shame the driver wasn't that guy who says 'Do you want some? I'll give it ya.' smile

Wrong. He was taking up less room than required actually. He could quite rightly ride with a much larger gap to his left so that if someone in one of the parked cars opened a door, he could avoid it. It was his reaction to the pass that makes him a prick. The driver is a prick for not understanding cyclists have rights to use the road; like some PHers in fact.

It's a pity this didn't end up in court. I'd like to see a solicitor establish a defence based on this cyclist having prior form. He chases after people consistently looking for confrontation and acts repeatedly in a vigilante fashion. If he has issues he should be taking these to the police not acting himself. He doesnt because the police are too busy dealing with real incidents. In court, I'd say that would not go well for him with that host of videos on youtube as evidence.

Drivers don't leave a large gap for what is a very. very rare situation as road space is limited. I stay as close as possible to parked cars so as not to inconvenience other road users.

Driving or cycling? The consequences are rather different depending on the mode of transport.

That's because if someone does open a door in front of you when you're in a car, it ends up as an insurance issue rather than a hospital issue. And I wouldn't say it's very very rare. It's happened next to me a few times over the years.
