Not bothered about the shape, the economy, or the insurance.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Been keeping my eye open for a local, well maintained R26.

S m, I'd say most feedback and most fun, being cheap to run would just be a bonus. wink

Not really looked into XKR's, heard only good things about them. Thanks!

6k will get you a really nice '96 spec DC2, or possibly scrap a '98 spec. Most fun I've had on UK B reads. And utterly bombproof.

Well looked after RX8? Looks fussy, drinks loads, tax is brutal but redline shifts never let you below 6,500 rpm, suspension is pliant enough for GB roads, steering feel is good and there's a fairly good community out there. Get a belter at that price. I had one for a couple of years.

An Impreza has to make the list if we are taking B-Road blasters!

Or the utterly phenomenal Impreza Type RA for a bargain basement price. For those who don't know much about the Type RA it is possibly the best handling and most raw of the classics and is a superb drive.

MR2 Roadster. You'll have plenty of change and they are cheap to run.

Another vote for an RX8, I bought mine cheap knowing it had hot start issues then spent 2.5k on a rebuilt and some other work, the engine is now guaranteed for the next 30k or two years smile

Me too. Just purchased one and it's the most fun car I've had in years.
