What happend to Your "PH" car when You become a parent?
Discussion
The 350Z got sold sharpish and I replaced it with a sensible family saloon. With a 3-litre, straight 6.
I'm now trying to persuade my wife that she should run the 'family car' (she's currently got a Corsa) so that I can get a 911. I've pointed out to her that it has back seats and plenty of legroom for a two year-old.

From experience, a 911 can carry 2+2 and bikes on the roof. However the rear buckets are difficult for kids from around 2-6 as they can't bend their legs at the knee when sitting back in the seat.I'm now trying to persuade my wife that she should run the 'family car' (she's currently got a Corsa) so that I can get a 911. Other than that, go for it!

Car history since my son was born is roughly the below.
Sold the Z3M Coupe to get something with 4 seats.
Bought 911 turbo.
Realised only used 4 seats 5% of the time.
Sold 911 turbo
Bought Exige
Used Exige extensively with my son
Got dog
Dog plus son plus me plus Exige didn't fit very well

My epiphany didn't arrive until the eldest was 11. Before that none of my cars were interesting but I hope I've made up since!

If I give you her email address, can you send my wife the first sentence of your post? If you could miss off the rest, that would be perfect Other than that, go for it!
Before my little girl came along ( now ten months old) I had
993 turbo
E30 M3
E30 320is
E12 M535i
M3 CSL
just before she arrived I bought a 3 grand E39 525d touring for my good lady and a 325ti for me, kept the rest. Job jobbed.
( being honest though, since she arrived I've barely had time to see the cars let alone drive them!!)

Convinced the wicanfe that as she had the perk of giving up work whilst i pay the mortgage, she had to sell her convertible beetle which she loved almost as much as I hated, and get a 3 series estate. I've Kept my mx5. I've had to sell my converted van as 3 vehicles on one salary wasn't proving fun when the van kept costing money to keep on the road...
My Mk1 MX5 turned into a Saab 9-5 Estate, then I remapped it, then I chopped it in for a Fiesta ST when the boy hit a year old, and now he's almost 2 and I've just traded it in for a new petrol Focus ST Estate.
So I guess I never really gave up a PH car, and as the missus doesn't drive she doesn't get a say
