Ventured deep into The Badlands today... vomit

V008 - Range Rover
F11Y ME - Range Rover
K 80USE - Fiat
P70 AP - White Geeezahz builders pickup truck
B05 3 DGB

As only to be expected in Essex there was a relentless parade of others too, including a risible attempt at something like ELLIE on a Audi A3 and PATTIE on a otherwise quite tasty Mustang in Maldon and a completely illegible weird fonted plate on a Mondeo but by lunchtime I'd decided five Chavplates was really enough to keep in my head for one day. biggrin
P70 AP not really that bad though is it ?

Still illegal 'tho and any illegal plate says the Platee is placing a higher priority on their own vanity than any obligation to confirm to the requirements.

More Chavness from The Badlands

D4MMO - Subaru
J A11MED - Mercedes. No surprise there were two black screwcaps between the 11 both front and rear.

I saw L19WYR on the way in to work this morning, on a white 911 Cab. I'm sure I've seen it before on a Range Rover Sport or a 5-series..
Even the legal profession aren't immune to 'bending' the law on numberplates, it even had the name of his practice displayed along the bottom of the plate.

I also saw AD11M AB the other day. Adiim? Adilm? Adum?

Funny how they are generally nice cars, or at least fairly pricey ?

Is anyone impressed, are we just miserable killjoys or do the rest of the public react with an involuntary coffee bean salute as well, is it to impress other, similarly minded and needy showoffs ?

It makes the car look much much worse not better, a proper plate can look ok but it costs money, there isnt a cheap shortcut.

Nope, not killjoys at all. It's the Platees fkuc the law attitude clearly demonstrated by the plate not the actual plate itself that's the problem.

Here in The Badlands that attitude always spills over into a notably high proportion of illegally plated cars abusing disabled or parent and child parking spaces, blocking junctions, parking on double yellows or the pavement causing chaos, jumping red lights, having bulbs out and front fogs dazzling everybody else or terminal lane hogging and suicidaly cretinous tailgating or generally driving like the self-centered egotistical bellend that anybody who believes their own vanity is more important than sticking to the legal format clearly is.

And no, there isn't a shortcut either. The current trend among the Essex Chavs seems to be taking all the spaces out of a quite unremarkable plate on a even more unremarkable car to imply the Platee is something special. No, believe me they really aren't.

Give me a Really Good plate worth many multiples more then the filthy and battered old Snotter it's on anyday. Having a Real Good plate and not giving even the very tiniest of tosses about it is the way forward IMO.
