What a plonker
Technically it shouldn't be in this thread, as it's not a personalised plate. It's just a bastardised version of the original V prefix reg which happened to be V8xx xxx

Highlighted the key word which makes it fit in with this thread perfectly

General rules are*

bastardised in any way from a std legal plate - this may include all or some of the below

1. Mis-spaced
2. Alterations to letters or numbers (includes the addition of cosmetic bolts in either yellow white or black)
3. Efforts to make it say something it doesn't (not included or covered above)
4. Font changes from original CW or Post 2000 CW

Bonus points are awarded for slogans under the reg to help people understand what it means and where the number plate appears completely legal but has letters or numbers changed (freelander example from vol 1 I think still leads in the bonus point stakes)

* Other interpretations of the rules are available but general consensus is that if non of the above applies then despite the fact that someone may think it says something it's probably just a numberplate.

Extra points for the aftermarket chrome tat, the S type getting the Chrysler PT Cruiser/300C treatment there.

Only if it goes in the "a little bit council thread" if it's still running?

Before anyone says wrong thread it is mis-displayed, it should be LJi 34 not LJ 134 as shown. Shame as I feel it would be a nice plate even, as an NI one.

Continuing that theme, this morning I had the pleasure of being behind a BMW M140 with AM14 OBM spaced as:
A M140 BM

(crappy or otherwise, I did rather like it)

^^Shirley the only thing wrong with that is the thread it's been put in?
Unlawful spacing = crappy, perchance?
Genuinely interested, how should it be spaced?

Still don't think it should be in with the st in this thread though, got to be at least a five figure plate.
Sorry for resurrecting this thread but been off for a while. Not five figures, six - all single/ singles sold in the past few years have gone North of £100k. The ninth plate issued by Kent in 1903. Personally I forgive the miniscule spacing error, it's an irrelevance on a single/single.

Period correct naff plate, shurely?
No. The car was first registered 1986, the 'age' of the plate is 1980/1981.
It worries me that PH'rs can't even date an "Icon" or even work out the period covered by a reg plate - I though this was a car enthusiast forum - If you don't know then 2 mins on google will resolve any gaps in knowledge.
I was minus 11 yeas old in 1981!
No excuse fella - no excuse at all beer

Shirley more chance with "8 0Y" or "13 OY" or the numbers first and Y .?

A mate says he spotted YE5 8 MAN on an E9X era BMW 3 series with a couple of scene mods and blacked out windows.

Helpfully it was confirmed as belonging to "B Man" as it had YES B MAN written as the tagline along the bottom of the plate.
