...it's phrased as a question, and asks ME what "C124PPY" plates I have seen recently. Therefore, whilst your opinion may have some value for the purposes of balanced debate, it most certainly does not entitle YOU to be the arbiter of exactly what should, or should not be posted as a crappy plate.
I saw "HE11 ZOE" on a Fiat 500 in Guildford yesterday. I thought it looked pretty damned crappy, so I took a picture of it for submission to this thread. Now though, having seen judgement passed by B'stard Child on the contribution of the Ford Mulieang photo above, I shall not bother to post my most excellent photograph of that dodgy looking plate on the Fiat...

But it does. It only takes ONE person to look at a plate and say to himself "that looks a bit crappy" for it to qualify. Regardless of it being completely standard, and legally spaced, and postcoded, etc, a plate can still look sad, desperate, or just plain old crappy.

You are of course perfectly able to post opinion on plates in this thread - we may happily hold different viewpoints, some plates we will agree some we won't.Hint: Read the thread title carefully...

The explaination of the guidelines has been debated many times in this thread (and previous incarnations of this type of thread) and is pretty much the majority accepted "rules"
The fundamental point is that if the plate does not in any way fall foul of the majority accepted "rules" then it's just a number plate - it might be a "personal"/"vanity"/"car related" plate but that's irrelevant for this thread.
PS I like the Fiat Plate - Pressed steel plates are so 80's but they were better when done in the "semi Computer" font of the period

Did I miss that bit in the HC? No other traffic around, go on, do what you like. Straightlining is always wrong, traffic or no traffic
No, it's not always wrong. In fact, I can think of a couple of mini roundabouts where going all the way around increases the risk of an accident as people assume you're going in a different direction and pull out. I assume you're one of those annoying people who would drive on a road like this and stick exactly in between the lines, braking for every bend rather than taking a nice smooth line all the way down which is perfectly safe. Part of being human is the ability to apply different rules to different situations rather than blindly sticking to something because IT'S THE LAW!!!!! (which the Highway Code isn't).Geekman said:

But also, with those lines, perfectly illegal! For the next lot of C124PPY plates take look at the next DVLA auction of totally meaningless plates. Some of these will no doubt be altered so they mean something, if only to the buyer. http://www.dvlaauction.co.uk/index.php/timed-auction/view-registrations/
I amazed that anybody would pay money for any of these numbers.

Love the car and the plate sets it of nicelyBut really? I'm guessing you're suggesting the plate spells the name of the car by saying that sets if off nicely and you believe that registration is even a remote approximation of representing the word Mustang then I'd get to an opticians straight after your next English remedial class.
