I'm sure it's amazing to drive, but it sure isn't a looker. It looks like a really cheap training shoe. Thankfully you don't have to look at this view from the driver's seat.
This - trying way too hard. Call it Lewis Hamilton syndrome, perhaps?A black or grey car without the red wheels would look quite sinister IMO.

Do you actually understand what a V6 Cup is or is capable of?
Do tell! The Cup is a Lotus Motorsport car - proper manual 'box, track focused etc. Probably goes further than any RS Porsche. And all for £62k. Bargain. Enough said.
Given you have a 981S, I am not sure its for you to be honest.

Do tell!Appealing to their core market ppl has never been difficult for Lotus with the hardcore models. Its appealing to everybody else they have difficulty with!

Lotus desperately needs a car which will appeal to humans as well as web-geek-driving-gods. In the meantime I hope some buyers are actually going to thrust their £63k in the direction of Hethel to keep the factory open.
Like a Boxster perhaps. And sell them for £15k. I think the factory is more than staying open. How is it some people have to mention my car in almost every post they make?
This thread is about Lotus and I really hope they can sort themselves out. This latest track oriented version of the already-very-fast Exige packs impressive performance. The question remains, "what next from Lotus?". Personally I hope it's a new 2-seat sportscar.

Because in every post you make you seem to talk about Lotus 'sorting themselves out'. I don't think there is much to 'sort out' at the moment. Their range of cars is superb and getting ever better. This thread is about Lotus and I really hope they can sort themselves out. This thread is not about Lotus as you keep banging on about but the CUP 360 which is no doubt a brilliant road/track car and one that I think makes a perfect single car solution for the driving enthusiast-how about discussing what you think about it instead of the company itself?
You don't come across as someone who understands this sort of car at all but instead someone hell bent on sniping from the sides on something you don't know much about or appreciate.
So if they make a new 2 seater sports car (not sure what's wrong with the Elise), I assume you will be the first on the list with cash in hand?

Well said. Never understood why there folk on here have to immediately moan whenever a Lotus thread appears - no they don't have a soft dash and daft oversized tyres like a porsche to clock a fast lap time and thank fk for that This thread is not about Lotus as you keep banging on about but the CUP 360 which is no doubt a brilliant road/track car and one that I think makes a perfect single car solution for the driving enthusiast-how about discussing what you think about it instead of the company itself?

Let's see what current Lotus CEO Mark Gales has to say about the future,
"Ultimately, Gales believes Lotus is capable of volumes close to 10,000 cars a year if it takes lessons from other specialist car makers, notably [censored], and moves to building four-door models – still at Hethel – for a completely new sector.
"For all the progress, Gales believes his work has hardly started. He wants to play the long game, to get the company to a point where it can make all-new models. “This brand is like a sleeping princess,” he says, “but I believe she is starting to wake up.”

Hence my hope/concern that Lotus will come up with a new 2-seat sportscar at some point and not just a saloon or SUV. In the meantime selling a few more cars by any means has got to make sense.

Ozzie, you are far too sensible for this forum..."Ultimately, Gales believes Lotus is capable of volumes close to 10,000 cars a year if it takes lessons from other specialist car makers, notably [censored], and moves to building four-door models – still at Hethel – for a completely new sector.

Interesting deflection but try again to answer the questions put to you regarding the CUP as this is the theme of the thread."Ultimately, Gales believes Lotus is capable of volumes close to 10,000 cars a year if it takes lessons from other specialist car makers, notably [censored], and moves to building four-door models – still at Hethel – for a completely new sector.

ETA. Beyond an Elise, Exige and Evora, what other two seater do you want them to produce and please don't say an entry level MX5 competitor because they would be out of business tomorrow?
