My 2005 Bmw 645 has the heads up display, not a common option on older non M models.

The new RS3 with ceramic brake option?

Although saying that, they seem to be a common option on anything £40k+ nowadays whilst once reserved for exotica.
Used to have a B7 RS4 and they were very rare on that, not surprising as they were £6k and only the fronts were different, the cheeky robbing barstewards

The Poxhalls/Opels with the integrated bike rack are quite common here in Euroland.... Renault also offer it on some models.

My Ovlov XC90 has a 2.5keuro paint job and a 2k+euro standalone diesel heater for the cabin and engine block (very rare outside nordic countries).
I thought it was odd to have outside nordic countries too, but for some reason land rover felt the need the have it on ALL diesel l322 range rovers. Didn't think we got it that cold?
Pics?
Its not exactly a thrilling thing to take a picture of, however I do actually have one of mine, as I was creating a walk-through for the Volvo forums on bumper removal!

It hides under the headlamp on the right side of the pic.

Expensive option as its plumbed with its own fuel lines all the way from the filter at the back of the car. Own little exhaust pipe and everything! Controlled via the OBC or off the key.

Dont have a picture but believe on the Range that it lives in the front wheel arch. All came with it fitted. Could pay a premium for the fob instead of manually setting it inside the cabin.

Yep, my RR TDV8 has the pre-heater. You can either set it to a time or use the fob to activate it remotely. Great on an icy morning, plip the plipper whilst making the coffee and the car is warm and defrosted 15 minutes later when you get in.

Kind of negates the need for the heated windscreen and steering wheel though. smile

Panoramic windscreen on an Astra. It was an option, not sure how many specced it though, I've never seen one on the road.

my SLK has the 'magic sky' feature (http://techcenter.mercedes-benz.com/en/magic_sky_control/detail.html) apparently quite rare as it's a £2k yikes option on a new car (then the tight git didn't specify parking camera!!)

I kind of like that panoramic receding hairline Astra.

You could get sat nav on amk4 Astra.

My 1992 30TE 4Matic has some nice options like electric memory and orthopaedic drivers seat as well as an electric memory steering column.

My BMW 750 E38 also has an built in webasto parking heater for the cabin and engine, it's started with a hefty remote the size on an old mobile phone, complete with a metal folding antenna, very retro, due to the electric power consumption it only works for a maximum of 15 minutes...

You could argue that a BMW 750 isnt exactly an 'average car' though wink
Maybe it's not, but when it comes to equipment a 15 year old private jet has nothing on a reasonably specced new dishwasher biggrin

Had a fairly basic Corsa hire car with a heated steering wheel, which seemed a bit odd.
I think all, if not most, of the SE models come with heated seats and steering wheel

Perhaps they had some in the parts bin they needed to get rid of! hehe

Tis a nice gadget to have though - a nice warm cabin when its 5am and -5c outside is beyond glorious. No ice scraping either.
Also an option on diesel Rover 75/MG ZT. I assume it's the same Webasto unit Land Rover offer on cars nowadays.

That Vectra B nav is cool, I love seeing things like this, especially 'higher end' tech on older cars.. Keep it coming smile

We had a E46 BMW what had Freeview TV in it. Only problem was the screen was the satnav in the front so could only use it when stopped.

Good when getting stuck in traffic after football matches as could watch Sky sports news

I've been in an Evoque that had Freeview, but the screen was pretty fancy where only the front passenger could see it

You can get the TV tuner unlocked for about 40 quid. May not be legal.

I have a Mk4 Golf with:

- Armrest
- Auto-dim rear view mirror
- Auto lights
- Auto wipers
- Cruise control
- DSP (upgraded speakers and separate amp)
- ESP
- Heated, leather Recaros
- MFD (Multi-function Display) - a full height display in the cluster, like Audi DIS
- Multi-function steering wheel
- PDC
- Six Disc CD changer
- Sat Nav
- TMC Module (extra!)
- Wood trim
- Xenons

Most of the above is pretty much ubiquitous these days, but bear in mind the Mk4 is an old car by UK standards.

I’ve also had a few E46 M3’s over the years with TV, rear electric blind, Voice recognition, and Bluetooth – all of which were quite rare in 2002! Current models of course have a head up display.

CLK W209 with Distronic radar equipped cruise was quite a special thing back in 2003.
