If it was all to be Lotus then why not drop the Vauxhall and add a Carlton for example. At least this is a Vauxhall and a Lotus.

Drop the Elise S1 and add an Esprit.

A fair comment. But it is his £100k garage and if that's what he wants to fill it with then that's up to him. My £100k garage choices would be different, but those would be my choices - these are his and they are fine by me.

I'm not sure I really see the point of this list either even though I have nothing against any of the choices individually (I even like the Europa's). That's not to say it shouldn't be someone else's idea of the perfect 100K garage though. If everyone moaning about it or PH's choice of garages to publish submitted a very interesting selection of their own then PH will have a good amount to choose from won't they!? Maybe then we could scrutinize your choices as well

In isolation each of these cars is very nice but given the choice and flexibility 100K gives you a true enthusiast would surely make more diverse choices?

There are a lot of great cars out there at the end of the day. I feel a bit sad for anyone who only sees one manufacturer when given the opportunity 100K gives.

Igedit! a list based on the Lotus small platform! Like or loathe Lotus, it shows what a brilliant & versatile piece of design this was - as OP says, there's Venom and Tesla on it too.
