Which sports car?

The V10 M6, with a shouty exhaust, might be exactly what you're looking for. While it's a bit lardier than an S2000, that engine with 500bhp more than makes up for the extra weight. Plus, it's a bloody nice place to spend your time when you're not thrashing the pants off it. £20k would seem to buy a decent one too.

Yes not a bad shout
Or a tamora, try and get one with a Tvr power rebuild and reliability will not be an issue
Apart from electrics etc, IMO a bit risky if you need to rely on it for a daily commute, plus every time it visits a dealer it will be there for at least 2 daysOr a tamora, try and get one with a Tvr power rebuild and reliability will not be an issue

You really should try and keep up with the thread. The op has already said:e46m3c said:
I already have m3 race car and 550bhp m3.
So a 500hp M6 vs a 550hp M3 is only going to feel slower, heavier, less fun and less sporty.Exige is fantastic but you'd have to be really committed to use it as a daily, and I think it also takes some of the shine off it using it on the daily grind.
A well set up Cayman s with a hartech engine rebuild and nice sports exhaust would be my choice under £20k, but I'd definitely look at a Z4m coupe as well.

Have to admit this would be perfect. Not so sure on the lazy v8 though? was that keen on the e63 amg s cos im used to 8500 rpm shifts. like a screamer me.

I truly don't get the fascination with rpm numbers. If the tacho had no numbers on it, you'd never know the number anyhow. You'd just get noise and feel the profile of the power curve.Have to admit this would be perfect. LS engines certainly aren't lazy stock IMO. And as you seem happy modding, then a simple cam swap will make them change their character.
e.g. if this had no numbers or different numbers on the dial, would you really be able to tell?

Personal preference i suppose. I didnt get on with the AMG's cos wanted to rev it out more! Might change with some decent exposure i suppose.

Does a V10 M6 need a shoutier exhaust...?blueg33 said:
As I did with my Tuscan, the fact is though that to be relied on as an every day commute they don't work, you still need access to another car, because they do go wrong but more importantly service intervals are close together and your typical TVR specialist will need the car for a couple of days
We'll agree to disagree I think re reliability, service intervals are costly yes. As for time at the dealer, don't think this would be an issue. Get it booked for a Saturday morning and make it clear you want it back at the end of the day, all will be well. Straight six used to look after my tuscan and it was entirely painless.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
