Mine is not to bad over rough b roads, not like a Delta or Evo mind. I have wheel spacers fitted to the front and 40 profile tyre, this has made a lot of difference. When I brought the car it hand a brand new set of 225/40/18 inch tyres on the front, these were stretched over the alloys and it drove horribly, even driving over a white lines would pull the steering wheel a lot and unsettle the car. The front s spoiler makes a big difference to straight line speed stability apparently , it does get a little twitchy at 140 plus.I really like these Tuscans but the horror stories and 'scary handling car' reports have made me think against buying one so far, despite the awesome looks and engine.

Do not expect it to be like your evo in handling respects but the rest of it in my opinion wins hands down, no contest for me. The Integrale was my child hood dream car, would I swap if for the Tuscan, no chance. The Delta was fast over b roads , but the rest of the time it just annoyed me to be honest. Rattly uncomfortable and not that quick really, amazing to look at though.

There are now quite a few TVR's out there that are in much better fettle and much more reliable than when they actually left the factory.Hi Simon,
I swapped a Chimaera for a T350 at the start of the year and my main issue was with the start up procedure and general poor running when cold.
I spoke to Dom at TVR Power in Coventry and he said it could be sorted. After a 12k service and an engine mod by one of his engineers Wayne, it runs perfectly from cold. You can start the car up without getting in it (doesn't need any throttle) and can drive straight off, runs smoothly and doesn't stall at all. Even with air con and all electrics on, still perfect.
Transformed the car to me and saved my relationship with the neighbours! Obviously I stick to the rev limits when warm up driving, but as you know you don't need much to drive the car 'normally'!

Thanks for the info, my car is ok until the winter months. Then it cuts out on first start up

One of the 205's was a turbo technics, it was converted in 1987 when it was 3 months old, The car made 230 horsepower when I had it in 1997. Fast car that and in near concourse condition
Have a search for wongs car history , I have documented all my previous cars on there

The Tuscan is awesome needs to be driven with respect or it will bite you
I had mine converted to a 4.3 total engine rebuild
I only use Dom at power performance after having many bad experiences this is the only firm I found who truly understands the car
All in house machining and rebuild can't recommend him enough
Recently had the geometry set up and it totally transformed the drive and performance

I'm probably biased because I love TVRs, but I don't see why whoever is planning the come back of the company doesn't just sort out the problems with the Tuscan and put it on sale again. It is one of the best looking sports cars ever. Hell even if it wasn't cost effective to fix the problems, at least put that body style back on the new car.

I bought my first Tuscan in 2006 and wrote it off in 2009. :-(Replaced it straight away with another and its still on my drive 9 year later.
This is the first year of the last 12 that we haven't headed to down to S.o.France, Spain or Portugal.
Good luck for another 6. :-)
