Without the vehicles coming the other way I think he might well have collected it up and negotiated his way round the truck. No excuses though, the truck was in full view of him on the right hander and even if he hadn't lost the back end as he did stopping before he reached the truck to let the other vehicles past might have been a tad 'nervy'. Not so much running out of talent rather a complete lack of brain power!

He is a talented guy and very good driver.
"Treating roads like racetracks" and "lunatic" seem somewhat misguided.
Forget about who he is and watch the video as if you had never heard of him then make a judgement."Treating roads like racetracks" and "lunatic" seem somewhat misguided.
It was bad driving pure and simple. He was going far too fast and not looking far enough ahead and as a result he put his passenger and other road users in danger.
If this was an eighteen-year-old in a Corsa on Southend seafront I'm sure you'd have no trouble at all in judging his driving to fall far below the standard expected of a competent driver but Walker doesn't even have the excuses of youthful exuberance or a lack of experience.

I've never heard of him.I saw the static photos, and wondered just how the flying fkerigar he'd managed to do that... but that GIF makes it VERY clear. It's the kind of cockish driving you'd expect from a Corsa in McDogbits carpark. Pure bloody luck that he didn't take that SL out.
Who's he meant to be, anyway?

Watching the video, I concluded that his speed needed the left lane otherwise what happened happened. If he assumed the left lane would be clear then he is a dick of the highest order and should lose his licence for a while.
If that's his normal standard of driving someone will eventually die.
I hope it's him and not an innocent.
Ouch!
Looks like he committed to the corner too fast given the truck parked just around it. And the first bit of video shows them turning out from beside the truck, so it wasn't even a surprise.
Needs to pay more attention and look ahead a bit more if he wants to keep driving that hard on the road.

He's a 48-year-old Sheffield-born resident of LA who used to earn a living "customising" clothes then selling them at a ridiculous mark-up who realised he could do the same with old Porsches. The idea is to take an old Porsche 911, spend a few thousand dollars lowering it, changing a few bits of trim and paint then to sell it on for lots of money as a "Magnus Walker Custom". He's sometimes mentioned in the same articles as Singer, also California-based and also featuring an ex-pat Brit, but totally without justification.

personally, I can;t abide the 911, but his collection is stunningly beautiful.
