The Eva GT was stunningly pretty, it was a practical 2+2 and was building on the success of the Aero series (which are fine-handling beasts but just too cramped inside for daily use). It wasn't made because Charles Morgan was sacked in disgraceful circumstances by his sister and brother-in-law, who seem determined to drag the firm back to the dark ages (much to the chagrin of the workforce at Malvern). The N54, while turbocharged, is still a good straight-six engine and has a pretty nice linear power-band. It would have made a good partner to that chassis. The Morgan V6 roadster is a much cheaper car, which is why it uses a cheap engine.
Please stop. The 2010 Eva didn't make it into production because Morgan didn't have the money. As one of the people who placed a deposit for one I seem to recall following it rather closely. Due to the lack of funds they invested in the US license for the 3 wheeler to bring in some easy, low end revenues and they also chose to take the regional development grant for electric vehicles.
They did not and sadly still do not have the money for the Eva. CM being removed was also one of the plans for cutting costs and stopping a large amount of the crazy expenditure. The fact that CM hasn't found a normal job since 2013 does tend to suggest why the Board felt he was better as a figurehead and not actually involved in doing anything important.
I've always hankered after a Morgan since a child and hearing stories from my grandfather about how HFS would race his uncle up their driveway. My great uncle's Bugatti always won apparently. So the failure to built the Eva was a huge disappointment. But it's also why I kept with TVR.
That Weismann is so nearly cool - if they just toned it down 10-15% (away from wky) it'd be seriously desirable. Maybe they were targetting the russian market?
Also, wtf styled that invicta? looks like an mx5 shagged a ford KA that had down syndrome. Were they aiming to sell it to blind people?

Agreed. I also think it's quite well proportioned as well. It needs some proper bespoke modern and "styling integrated" lighting at each end, but the basic shape is a good one! (including the surfacing, which is so often the downfall of low volume cars imo)Max_Torque said:

The side profile looks good but the back is far too busy and the front has a face only a mother would love. The hood also looks rubbish (cheap). The interior is ok(ish) but not up to the requirements of the price point.

They have that, the MF5 is the top, or 505hp V10 or 550hp V8 biturboAlso, wtf styled that invicta? looks like an mx5 shagged a ford KA that had down syndrome. Were they aiming to sell it to blind people?
then the bit smaller MF4 with V8
then the small MF3 with S50 or S54, those are really small and drive very well, more connected then the MF4 and MF5, ofcourse the bigger ones are faster.
here their roadsters (the MF4 GT and MF5 GT are coupes)
MF5
MF4
MF3

I Think it was the dealership as well.
I am sure TVR future prospects would love to buy their car from a non-descript industrial estate, would really enhance the experience.
Whereas walking in via a giant Gekko's mouth, symbolising being food for the machine and leaving as symbolic excrement is clearly what will be demanded. I am sure TVR future prospects would love to buy their car from a non-descript industrial estate, would really enhance the experience.
I think we can all agree that somewhere in between the 'post industrial wasteland' option and the 'debt monkey, lost up own ahole' one probably lies the correct compromise for TVR.

Nobody thinks the wheels are way oversized on the Wiesmann?
I do. I also think the detailing varies from bordering on garish to crossing that mark big time. Looking at the dash and the integration of lights, mirrors, door handles etc. it's at least two generations behind the last TVRs, only tarted up and then tarted up some more. 900T-R said:

It's, erm, very 'posh' German. GTRene said:
They have that
Sorry, I disagree. All 3 are massively over wheeled, fussy silly details at the back, lights are daft. If they put sensible wheels on, they could have kept it all looking less Batman film / Russian looking and it'd have been like a muscular classic Jag. IMO it's the same error that TVR started to make at the tail end - the Sagaris has a couple of features that are just silly (sideways exhausts etc), the car was manly enough without going full schoolboy =)Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
