Do we know where they're based? As in do they actually have a factory at this point?
Officially no and no is the answer. However, I doubt that is the case in reality and more will be revealed soon given the short timeframe between now and planned first deliveries. KTF said:
You would think that the people handing over the deposit money would ask such questions. They dont seem unreasonable things to ask considering.
One would assume so When I paid the deposit for my Mini, I asked the question 'do I get one of those cuddly Mini bulldogs for free with the car?'
So asking 'do you actually have a factory or workforce to build the car yet?' seems bloody fair
But I have to hand it to the guys that have put their names and money down, and I assume like all of us I really hope this all comes good
The fuse has been nicely lit on this one: RoverP6B vs 300bhp/ton. I'm not sure how long such irresistible forces of idiocy can occupy the same virtual space before the internet breaks.

I think it's a shame. Every thread on TVR's return quickly ends up in arguments, cock-waving and made-up bks. If it might end on arrival of an actual car then great, but it won't. There will always be nobheads for whom it isn't the real thing for a long list of reasons, or poor design choices have been made or whatever else. The unfortunate is not that they exist, but they are in there dominating every discussion. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

That really is nuts, and not all that attractive.
Meanwhile, just up the road from Gordon Murray is this, the oldest surviving vehicle factory in the UK (if not the world), repurposed as a Wetherspoon's pub...
Or they could revitalise the ole Rootes building in Maidstone. At least it's still a car dealership.Meanwhile, just up the road from Gordon Murray is this, the oldest surviving vehicle factory in the UK (if not the world), repurposed as a Wetherspoon's pub...

TBH I find myself agreeing with most of what 300bhp/ton says, if only he would put his point across a little more gracefully. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Outside of recommendations of 8L trucks for people's grandmothers I usually agree with him.

Quite a range of styles there. Some drawing more heavily than others on previous TVRs.
The first interior sketch shows a non-manual gearchange - interesting. Obviously these are only sketches, so nothing can be taken as read in them, however, the fact they're even considering a non-manual is a surprise.

I don't think they are anything to do with the current company. The first interior sketch shows a non-manual gearchange - interesting. Obviously these are only sketches, so nothing can be taken as read in them, however, the fact they're even considering a non-manual is a surprise.
