Breaker bar and decent socket for wheel changing, having once almost failed to get a wheel off with the crappy brace they give you. Also a tool kit, I don't agree you can't fix stuff at the roadside. A few cable ties and fuses. A coat, gloves, hiviz and torch. First aid kit. Breakdown details. I sometimes carry a change of clothes if there is a possibility I'll have to stay out for work.

Baofeng UV-5R Ham radio
May feel a bit like a toy but they are quite good. Have you been using chirp for progamming? Been meaning to get it actually, but I've just locked the one in the Mrs car down to 1 frequency so if I'm the one looking for her, I'll be able to get in touch without her having to figure anything out.
Also been using it so kids can get their ham licence. Looks like a good feather to have in their cap.. Also means I can use their licence to have some fun with powerful mesh WiFi networks
You need to get yourself a proper emergency Go Bag OP, PH style

In the little car, small socket set, couple of screwdrivers, couple of torx drivers, air compressor, puncture repair kit, hi viz, spare bulbs, fuses, OBD2 reader and breathalyzer kit.
Can you tell we go to France?
For the Defender lift pump, rope, large hammer, larger hammer, long zip ties, ratchet straps, tow strops, two jacks, assortment of tools, including fa n spanners, large socket set, small axe, fire extinguisher and a stack of camping gear (always in there anyway). And an even larger hammer.
For the Saab all tools have been removed and replaced with a tin of petrol and a box of matches. It'll never breakdown near the Defender.
All vehicles have a first aid kit (you never know I might burn myself)...

There are ALOT of repeaters so I just list those that may be of use

Its a list of repeater stations in and around areas we're most likely to be in, or traveling through.

What would you then use that for beyond contacting other amateur radio fans? I bought the same radio to use as a walkie talkie, though its mainly seen use as a scanner when I've been marshalling at car races. There are ALOT of repeaters so I just list those that may be of use

Hopefully a hamm operator can get my number from the mrs and call me, or vice-versa.
Using the repeater means I'm able to get in contact and stay in contact over a much larger radius.
Overall it beats the prospect of a ridiculously long walk through the depths of nowhere!
Phone is first choice though lol
Its also fun for car to car com's in convoy
