Not a real GpB car, but FAR closer than most of the cars posted here!
I'm confused... the thread title says 'more than 4 cylinder' and doesn't mention Group B at all?
Not as confused as me Ben! hehe

Misread after a long day...

All good! The wing on the back of the 405 is probably worth an extra cylinder or two anyway.

I'm asking myself 'why?' But I guess if you are mad enough then hey-ho, away you go!
Anyway, someone beat me to the 6R4, TR8 and Rover Vitesse all driven by a certain Tony Pond, so.....

I'm a bit biased as it's my car, but my M3 powered e36 Compact sounds great. Bit of footage from the first time I drove it. Managed a 6th overall with what turned out to be awful, old tyres!! https://youtu.be/XfKz3PwLKIc?t=96

Alpine A310 V6.....

I own the 310's younger sibling in the form of the Alpine GTA Turbo - strangely homologated for GroupB.

It's not even the only one.

These took on the 1970 London-Mexico World Cup Rally.

Note the exhaust pipes on the Silver Shadow coming up through the bonnet and over the roof to raise the ground clearance.

That's Bill Bengry's car. The family business is still going, AFAIK. http://www.bengrymotors.co.uk/bill-bengry-rally-dr...

Ok, slightly pushing the definition of "rally" car, but if we put the word "raid" in there as well, then this:

Whilst my childhood dream was a 6R4 (& I got to drive a Clubmans road going car at the age of 18!), for the whole spectacle/sheer power, it's got to b a Quattro S1 car....I last saw one at Chatsworth House at the rally day a few years ago & the whole turbo/small weapon effect on the over-run is deeply imprinted on my memory thumbup I know it's cheesy, "Fire up the Quattro".....

Toyota Supra MKIII Group A

A true love boat of its time, not very successful but managed a 3rd place on its debut in Africa. The turbo version apparently was pushing 400bhp. This was a straight 6 3.0 turbo (N/A also) car. Brilliant.

Determination in the face adversity
