10 Cylinders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuIe3TZzFZk

OK, it might not be a rally car, but it's being driven pretty hard on mud.

TR7 V8, Saw it at a sprint at Epynt in what I believe was its first outing in anger, poise and noise together. least favorite Audi Qutro, 4 wheel drive and the beginning of the end for the tail out forest stage.

Unless I'm missing something and as gowmaster says above the Celica GT4 was a 4-cylinder turbo.

Wasn't it?

Not necessarily my absolute favourite, but it was pretty impressive back in the day:

A vote for the Alfa GTV6 here.

As a side note, I've read in my copy of Reinhard Klein's 'Rally Cars' that Group A cars by '88 onwards were producing way more than the 300bhp limit, in some cases over 400 in the case of the Delta, Supra turbo and Sierra RS Cosworth. Did the FIA / organisers just not enforce the limit or was it more of a 'gentleman's agreement' between the manufacturers and the FIA?

6R4 and 911 come close but you really can't beat this.

Lets be honest folks, it's

Alitalia Stratos v Audisport Quattro

Special mention to the Rothmans 911s.

There's a lot of love for the 6R4, which I can understand even though I'd go for the Audi.

And with an extra cylinder Tuthill Porsche have been campaigning this 997 GT3 recently.

I'd like to add the V8 Vantage to this list and then I'm very much spent.

Anything with five cylinders will do it for me. But instead of posting the usual quattro pictures here are two other 5-pot Audis that are a little less known:

Audi 200 Quattro Turbo. Their first Group A car after the banning of Group B cars. An executive saloon. Rallying. Think of an Audi S6 rallying these days and that's pretty much the idea:

Also as I'm an Audi S2 nut I have to show a picture of the S2 made by SMS which made a few unsuccessful appearances in the 1993 WRC in Group N:
