DAB Upgrade - Renault Megane 2011 MY - Advice and Verdict

I wonder if anyone can help me.

I've currently got a Mondeo Estate and love the DAB (especially 6 Music) that it's got as standard.
The car is just too big and thirsty though so I'm thinking of getting a Megane Tourer but would really like to be able to upgrade the standard unit to pick up DAB.
It would be useful if anyone with experience of having such a unit fitted could give an opinion so I can then decide whether to search in earnest for a car.

Autoleads do a DAB adaptor for the OEM radio to give you preset dab stations, but....



It's terrible IMO.

You'd be better off getting one of the many aftermarket units that plug into the cigarette lighter and feed into the stereo.

I am aware of those types but I'd only be really interested if the unit was integrated and with use of the steering wheel controls.

The auto leads one does just that, you use the fingertip controls to make it work. If you buy a Megane now (with TomTom) and add DAB it's the same kit you'd get.

I'm struggling to find the Auto Leads DAB adapter online. Can see antennae and accessories but not that.

Hmmm, it may be that you can only get it from dealers.
