This will happen sooner or later with Critical Mass. There are plenty of Company Directors, Chavs, Psychopaths, Bruvs and more driving in London. Whilst most of us will be pished off there are plenty that will go further or carry knives as routine. A small knock on a prized car by a careless CM cyclist is all it takes for them to be lying on the road with a stab wound.

I did wonder what this was. I see them cycling through Islington a while back stopping at lights and blocking filter lanes/junctions etc whilst arguing with the drivers.

The clue is in the name Critical Mass, do you think the intention is to grind the roads to a halt and cause total frustration - generally be antisocial and stick 2 fingers up to the law - by hiding in a mob, or to have a pleasant cycle ride out with a few mates like they say.
