You are missing the point, forget the grey areas and treat it as black and white. The cyclists are wrong, the OP is right.
Both black and white, and grey viewpoints are valid, providing you are consistent.

So if you want to talk in terms of black and white then yes, the cyclists are wrong. They should be prosecuted. As should every motorist who speeds, passes cyclists too close, parks on the pavement or double yellow lines, and we should petition the government to act on those law breakers as well.
Your argument is irrelevant and flawed. The law enforcers attempt to prosecute all the violators your mention and you agree that the cyclists in this case should be prosecuted.
So what are the laws that the cyclists have broken that do not get enforced?
Is that a serious question?

Yes. Some examples.

Read the OP's review and I'm sure even with your quizzical mind you will find some.

I'm asking you. If it's so obvious what crimes the cyclists are committing that don't get enforced, and as you feel so strongly that they should be, it should be easy to give an example or two.

If I was surrounded and feeling threatened in that way I too would be tempted to squash a few bikes.

What a horrible bunch of human beings these type of cyclist are, nothing more than facists.

I glad it's not just me, I felt my chest tightening just watching. I'll have to go meditate before I have some sort of medical incident .

It's obviously not all bikers in fact I'd suggest these groups are just looking for trouble, the same sort that turn up at anti capitalist rallies to smash windows.

Note to self buy that terracan you were thinking of getting

Cyclists share the road so should be taxed and insured like other road users. My Velo Solex needs tax and insurance yet a much faster and more expensive racing bicycle doesn't.
A bike hurtled into the side of my car last year whilst parked in a lay by in the north-east and damaged the paintwork and offside mirror. After much wrangling i had to give up and wear the cost myself as it was the least stressful option.

I knew (through arguing with them over the internet) some of the people involved in Critical Mass twenty years ago. They were exactly the sort of people you would expect. White guys with dreadlocks. The kind who call themselves "anarchists" but moan that the state doesn't redistribute enough. Were at the 90's road building protests. Anti-capitalist, anti-consumerist, Green, utterly despise cars. CM are dicks. They have always been dicks. The point of the exercise is confrontation and the winding up of other road users, what they do is not helpful to anybody.

Genuinely feel for anyone that has to drive within the M25.
Had a reminder of it on Saturday and I wasn't even driving.
Must have averaged under 15mph attempting to get to Dagenham from the M11, so it's not even central.
Bus lanes with different days and times applied causing chaos, red lights every 100 yards. It's fking miserable.

My journey to and from the office, when I cycle, is at least 10-15 mins slower simply because of cars on the roads. I don't think any journey could be delayed by as much the other way round.

In fact most times when I've been held up by a cyclist when driving, the net lost time is zero as I just catch up with the next car when I can safely pass the bike(s).

So cars permanently delay cyclists, whilst cyclists temporarily delay cars. And guess who does all the ranting?

Bit of a pointless thing to say on a car forum. Are you suggesting cyclists don't rant about car drivers at all?

Totally wrong though as I ee cycles riding inbetween and up the side of cars, in fact most cyclist I know do so because the journey is faster because they can do that.

When cycles block the lanes cars have no choice.

The vast majority of motorist / cyclist rants on gg are not started by cyclists.

Here is a cyclist having a rant.

Why on earth would you want gates to keep live stock in a field confused

It's a car forum with a cycling sub-forum. There are lots of cyclists on here.

Being into cars/motorbikes/Motorsport is not mutually exclusive from being a cyclist.

Never has been, never will be.

Yep, he is probably the sort of bloke that would go around leaving these gates open for cyclists.
