Gutted for you mate. I have loved these cars since the early 80s.

Where is the nearest sea port connecting to Europe? I hope some of the European guys on here can spread the word. Dinkel, we need you!

That's sort-of good news then, right? Presumably the forces of law and order are descending on the area as we type? I sincerely hope so and that your very special car is recovered quickly and in good shape.

Yes mate hope so. Not 100% yet but better than the car being in bits in Europe...

I really hope you get it back and that it's in good condition.

Seems baffling that someone would steal such a valuable and rare car and then drive it around openly. It's almost as if they are seriously thick and ignorant wink

I'm delighted for the OP if this has been recovered, especially if undamaged.

Score one to social media and people who do care about other's stuff.

Thanks for all comments, guys....thanks for looking, sharing. My opinion is that interest in the car generated on forums/Facebook/Twitter played a big part in events

According to a colleague of mine who lives in that area, the car was left in a quiet road - probably to check whether a tracker was fitted.

Here are some shots of how it was found:

The story is not over yet, but the main thing is, my fluffy dice appear to be safe...
