Yup running PS4s, 225s front 235s rear on a pre-facelift 130i at 35psi, would recommend this to anyone Mike, it drives like a go kart especially with the slightly wider bias to the front over stock. Would imagine will be same in a 135 for sure.

Interesting, everyone was saying to keep the front widths std otherwise it ruins the steering. Good info.

Need to see a group test between

PS4S won't fit my car frown

Others have said GY AS3 are good for U.K. conditions
PS4 are brilliant on the 130i, imagine they'd be equally good on yours Mike.
Did you get the LCA's fitted, if so any noticeable difference?
Nothing done yet as I can't get commitment from BMW Indy

Need to chase but been tied up with my wife's car being written off a few weeks ago. So looking at a Cooper/Cooper S/ST-2/3 for her. Step up from 1.4 Fiesta

LCA
Rear subframe bushes
These are things I wanted done, nobody wants to take it on.
Bored of 135i, yup. Meh of a car

This rate I'll throw it away for a JCW mini lol, not buying a M135/140i, if another BMW M3

Ok, it's way too long, too rushed (other deadlines and weather issues) and bloody boring, but if you REALLY want to know the differences between the Pilot Super Sport and Pilot Sport 4S, this is the video for you.

Good video, not boring to me!

I think I'll get a set when the OE Pirelli P Zeros need replacing.

Good video, not boring at all.

It's pretty much exactly as I imagined.
Better day to day, maybe losing out some feedback at the very high end.

I find the PS4 great but on track they do lack some feedback, but I was pushing quite hard.

Wear is excellent on the PS4 - I just wish they did the PS4S in 18s. :/

You don't drive your car fast enough to warrant them anyway bro.

Never say never, but it's not going to happen in 2017 frown

Luckily the PS4 is a good tyre, as is the F1 A3.

Problem is people like me who do maybe 4 or 5 trackdays a year but also do the 20k miles a year with work and don't have another set of wheels to use.
The ps4 is in my mind the best road tyre but on track it lacks where the PSS shone through (relatively).
AD08R or Direzza 03g are great but either too expensive or too crap in the wet to run daily.

It just frustrates me that Michelin will not make a tyre for drivers who value feedback over comfort.

Certainly ignoring the 18" market is stupid given that many Porkers especially boxsters and cocksters come with 18" wheels and many high performance saloons do also...

Likewise for the CSC6.

I think the Engineering Explained's video was better than that one. But as ever, there is never a night/day difference between the old model and the new one. Just subtle tweaks here and there, mainly a dual compound in this case on the outer half of the tyre, where 90% of the main load occurs. Something Bridgestone did decades ago.

They do, it's the Cup2 but as you say, it's not great in the wet for a daily.

The Continental ForceContact was a nice balance, but sold so badly Conti have quietly discontinued it.

Sadly, we're in the minority, and the labels don't help either as it forces manufacturers towards softer tyres.

Speaking of soft, I scrubbed my PS4s down to 4mm in less than 4000 miles. They don't last for schitt, but I don't care. I buy tyres for grip, not economy or lifespan.

IM still loving my AD08R so chances are I will just stick with them. They are a bit st in the wet but they are very controllable.

Really?

I've had mine fitted for 15k.
I have about 3.5mm tread left. I've done 2 trackdays and about 4 or 5 drag days on them. :\

I guess it can vary a lot depending on usage and the car etc smile

I've just done the exact opposite on my 650.
P Zeros hated the cold and wet

Someone who's actually dared move away from the MC approved P Zeros on a McLaren. What have you gone to, and how are you finding it?

I put up with 2 sets of P Zeros over 14k miles. I've also done 65k miles on PSS's in another car.
Talking to the Mclaren dealer the only issue is rear arch liner rubbing on REALLY hard cornering or compression.
They were happy for me to put them on so long as I din't try claiming rear liners on the warratny wink
500 miles in they are MUCH better in the cold and wet, roll on better weather to see the real difference wink
