Just reading this months evo and they say the PSS is due to be replaced by the Pilot Sport 4.
Surely the Ps3 will be replaced by the Ps4?I, like others have said, take user reviews with a MASSIVE pinch of salt. My thoughts being that most people won't be driving hard enough / know what to look/feel for to give the sort of feedback that is often given. Moreover they are making a comparison with a worn out set of old tyres...
Jon- no rush, winters are still fine and just weighing up options at the moment.
The SC6's look like really good value at the moment and camskill have them on offer, and as another poster has said, PSS's look to be hard to get hold of, especially in 275/35/20 flavour.
Shocking looking wear on the sidewalks!
Cheers all

What do they actually say?
The PS4 isn't available above 18". The maximum performance tyres will be in the bigger sizes.
Headline is "MICHELIN DROPS SUPER SPORT FOR PILOT SPORT 4" and contains the phrase "it would be easy to think that it is an improved version of the Pilot Sport 3... Michelin tells us the new tyre is in fact more of a successor to the ultra-high-performance Pilot Super Sport".The PS4 isn't available above 18". The maximum performance tyres will be in the bigger sizes.
Also says a 19" version will be available from March and that production of 17" and 18" Super Sports is stopping this year.

Just to clear things up, the Pilot Super Sport is being replaced q1 2017.
The replacement IS NOT the "Pilot Sport 4", but will be a new variant of the Pilot Sport 4 range (I'm not allowed to share the name at the moment)
It will be a differently designed and constructed tyre though.
Interesting. I look forward to hearing more...The replacement IS NOT the "Pilot Sport 4", but will be a new variant of the Pilot Sport 4 range (I'm not allowed to share the name at the moment)

Thanks. Will it have a sidewall that can withstand a little track abuse this time? The replacement IS NOT the "Pilot Sport 4", but will be a new variant of the Pilot Sport 4 range (I'm not allowed to share the name at the moment)

Hiya Nick. Just fitted M4 LCAs so will enjoy the sharper turn in and neutral balance for a few months and will probably go for a base spec 2.0 4-pot Cayman when it's out, particularly if it's under £40k. How is it going at your end, you feta cheese eater ?
Loving the M135i, especially with the 8AT. The M2 is getting great reviews, more of a drivers car than the M4 they say, my little clove of garlic.jon- said:
How long can you wait? I've a set of Super Sports and a set of Sport Contact 6's on their way to me, it will be at least few weeks before I've driven on them both enough to form an initial impression.
I'm very excited to do the comparison, I feel they'll be closer than everyone imagines.
Even if it's close, is it likely to be the usual in terms of Continentals wearing out much more quickly?I'm very excited to do the comparison, I feel they'll be closer than everyone imagines.
