I'm currently on holiday on the Isle of Wight, but that hasn't stopped me, like a child with an I-Spy book, from spotting my first couple of cars on the new plate. biggrin I know it's not as exciting as it used to be, but for simpletons like myself it's still something different every six months. I didn't see anything interesting, sadly, with the first being a Mazda CX-3 and the second a Ford Ka.

Any lucky PHers got one? thumbup

My 65 plate car arrives on Thursday for pickup. It's a skoda yeti l&k like the one reviewed here. My car choices are becoming more questionable as I get older...

Included a Renault van without any badges on the back and already sign written :O

I still play this game, text my mum last Thursday to tell her I'd seen loads.
I was obviously cheating, they were all new BMWs with plates on, but they were down the east docks in Southampton, I could see them when I went in with my train.

Did see a "real" one yesterday though. Some AMG thing, looked expensive.

we do...had our new 4 series delivered very kindly by BMW a day before the '65 kicked in on Monday. (For this reason it had to stay on the drive and couldn't be driven till yesterday)

safe to say we love it.

The 4 door version of the 2 door version of the 4 door car, I thought these were a myth.

We have a new Transit and the boss has a new Yugo Cayenne.

Nissan has some cheek calling that current thing a Pulsar.

Years ago the annual plate change was a much more significant event than it is today.

I would suggest that twenty odd years ago there were lots of office competitions to see who'd seen one on the way in today or even whose car it is in the car park.

I noticed the competitions fizzled out where I worked......although I still continued the tradition!

I didn't see any yesterday.

We go to Jersey tomorrow as we always do at this time of the year so it will be eyes peeled to get one there. More than likely it will be a very boring Korean hatch with silver haired occupants looking as pleased as punch.

and yes I've done it...one delivered on 31st July and waited for midnight to tick over.

I did picked up my 1980 Fiesta at 4.00pm on the day.......and it seemed to me I was the last to get mine have seen dozens.

Yes indeed haha. Just when a 3 series is just a bit...boring.

BMW - " To avoid confusion we are separating the coupe 3-series into its own series called the 4, but we have realized we can sell the st out of a new name so we are making a 4 door 4 series to compete with Audi who latched onto the same bullst with the A5 4 door".

These would be rubbish if they didn't have the 'grancoupe' badge near the C pillar.
Because of this, I like them quite a bit.
