This is low mileage, would be interesting to know what is whining. Could be nice if a cheapish fix.

Not going to be a cheap fix or they would have done it themselves. Especially on a £7k V12...

Need much more detail to even speculate what it could be.
£7k is very strong money for that model of S class, V12 or no, isn't it?
Not Really.

AMG or V12 bi turbo in good condition are still worth that money no problem.

This bi-turbo V12 has to be driven to be believed. the drivetrain alone is worth £7k IMO.

What do you reckon?

Thinking I might jump on this Volvo bandwagon.

I'd spotted that. Looks nice, but quite a long way from me and I'm not keen on what I think is the Kingfisher Blue colour. The car itself looks quite good though.

This ad looks and feels good... I wouldn't have been surprised if it was £1k more?

We've had that car before. Seller may have reduced the price now though?
Can't get over the fact that he hasn't even dried the car before photos though.

This looks like a nice little mini barge: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C630043

Only 50k miles and a good ad with lots of work done.

Unusual.

03 plate but pre facelift
S500L with no command.

Never seen one like it.

I do love Everest Green!
Seems to have electric rear seats and the passenger side rear one seems to have buttons to move the front passenger seat as well.

I quite like the look of the dash without the tiny screen they have at that age as well.

All the LWB cars have heated seats front and rear, electric rear seats (with front passenger control) and rear electric blind.

Problem with that car is that although it's a 2003, it's obviously been built a good while before registration and will still suffer rust issues and has all the old electronics and switchgear.

The later based DVD comand that comes on the 53 plate cars is a big improvement over the old CD based dx system.

Looks like a bargain to me. Wish I could get away with a non-estate car. What's wrong with him being American (speaking as one)?

Will be in the army/airforce, big US base in norfolk. Can't be any madder or gun-toting than the NFN yokels wink

On the other hand it could've been keyed front to back! You never know with these, which is what makes it such a gamble...

That's pretty nice.

I wonder what happened to it for cat d status.
Looks like the offspring of a Benz with a Chinese copy.
It's an odd looking thing, really not helped by those horrendous wheels.

How are you supposed to sit still on such highly polished seats. I bet that makes cornering interesting smile

I wouldnt with that one though.

Pre-electrical upgrade (dumbo-ear mirrors), auto-box from the nightmare years, and it hasnt had the DIM (dash clocks) upgraded as the rings are around the dials are still the original black and not silver.

Low mileage counts as a +ve, but thats a pretty big gamble IMO and I wouldnt pay more than about £750 for it.
eek
I've just bought a 2002 V70 D5 auto.

I really like the look of that. Agree that it feels 'right' purely from the ad.
With a year's MOT and decent tyres, I can't see that you could have much to lose, even if it imploded at the end of the period. Get that for 2.5 and you're laughing.

Not really noticed that on LWB cars before, but i guess i'm usually looking at SWB models in pictures.

Probably best avoided if its more likely to rust etc, shame as it looks quite nice.

Looks decent and honest. A little over budget at 6, but good history and condition.
