Oooof, so do I. That seems to be a top spec SE. plus all the options like memory seats, buffalo leather, auto air con and I'll bet it has electric rear seats too.
The M30 engine will outlast the car and provide quite sufficient go for that shark-nosed beauty. After recent welding on its coupe cousin I have recently enjoyed several barging episodes in my 1982 635CSi, just lovely inside nd out.

How much would a body shop charge to remove this spoiler and make good - anyone have any idea?
That aside, I rather like.

ETA - it's on at sub-seven on the garage website. The colours are right up my street.
Who would think that putting a spoiler like that on an XJS was a good idea? !That aside, I rather like.

The colour choices on the XJ-S really work. I don't like those spoilers either - they were actually really expensive. I do like the way the aerial passes through them, it amuses me. I concede that bending the aerial by opening the boot lid with the aerial up would be rather less amusing!!

Excellent thanks Harry, I've just done the same and ordered a Bosch from eBay.
Do you have a link to the vendor? I ordered a Bosch one from ECP and it didn't quite fit when it came to install it.
Ended up paying 22 quid from a Mercedes dealer for something that should be 13 at most.
Decent looking DHP equipped LS.

Correctly size branded tyres are a very good sign: the recommended tyre size for the DHP alloys are a kings ransom. Most go a size up or down in width or profile at less than half the cost.

Y'know, I'm even starting to think the XF20 is a bit of a looker http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

That's a smart looking barge.

If the one I'm 'actively' pursuing comes to naught, I'm hoping to see the brown be-spoilered one. Would be interested in a rough cost-to-remove the spoiler though (actually it's the patching and painting that attracts the cost I guess) - anyone any ideas?

£200-£300 for a good job I'd say.Would be interested in a rough cost-to-remove the spoiler though (actually it's the patching and painting that attracts the cost I guess) - anyone any ideas?
Depends on the method used.

You could remove it and plug the holes with grommets whilst awaiting the holes to be filled and painted, or get a new boot lid.

Would still need painting, of course.

Lovely Lexus, it's a pity the dealer is apparently an outrageous liar.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

After some research I have gone off the idea of a CL or S class Mercedes as my next barge, the costs involving the ABC and SBC systems are too scary and expensive and also seem like they are always when, not if.
How about a 2003/4 clk 500. These don't seem to be as complicated or as prone to bork. All I can really find is some issues with the seats and the windows on the early cars.
Anyone else had some experience or knowledge of these.

No idea if they are any good though!
