I'm not sure I could go back to cloth seats, the MbTex ones are in a different league.

Always a sucker for a story and some history. There's not too much else though and I can't find a proper auction listing. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C710305#

All the pictures are from a near identical angle that tell us nothing as well
There is a catalogue but it takes some digging - check cloth interior! http://www6.amstock.co.uk/morrisleslie/StockDetail...

There are a handful of 126s (W and C), a129 and a 140 there too. If that SL interior has done only 20k miles I will be very surprised!

I suppose it's possible and I have no reason to cast nasturiums at the auction company. But having spent some time on Jersey I am bemused as to why anyone would spend substantial extra money over a 260e to be chauffeur-driven around an island where you're normally doing 20 mph and occasionally might reach a rousing 40 (the island limit) for about five seconds before braking for a blind corner or a manky Land Rover coming the other way!

I think that could be THE one for you, Oa !!!

That's Jade Green...It's a really great colour to detail!
It does not fit into my car strategy unfortunately frown

I love the colour though.

Hot hatch or hyper v12 coupe next. Must be strong...

Just look at it in its minimalist glory though.
Lovely colour. Didn't you have one that colour, Derin? Is it not Agate Green?

Anyway, it has featured here before, within the last year, I think. I wonder how come it's back? I think the photos may be the same.
Ah yes, you're right it's called Agate Green...I forget the name. Yes, I had in this 2.6L car that's now in Hong Kong:

Last listed in November for £3250. I imagine it's the same seller, and he's trying his luck now it's not nearly Christmas.

Charming car. I love the rare colour pallete, not so keen on the 1.8 but then I guess that's part of its appeal too.

Something for the E38 afficionados....

Does an interior get any better than that?
When I first saw this it was £8995. When I posted it 7-10 days ago it was within thread budget. Now, its not. There is difficulty in pricing, and there's a seller who is a tool.
Different cars.
Same photos.
Same car, was £4995 Sunday 7th, page 358 (just before the retrorides weird Hyundai thing turned up). I have also posted an E66 750Li this week, also at £6k.

When I first saw the '38"I thought with a little calming the V12 on LPG could be great, but his pricing has been all over the shop...

Aaaaaaand it's back down to £4999... Can't help but think Autotrader is not the best platform for this car (or seller!)

While I'm looking at 7's, here's a 750i Sport which despite the uninspiring palette looks very tidy for £4800 esp with recent work done.

Curiously, every check I run on this car says it's a September 93 car. So that'd be one of the last ones, and should be on an L like mine.

Maybe the rev kept his old plate?

Does anyone know of good suppliers for 190e front wings?

I asked my local MB dealer yesterday and they have none in stock, but when they do they're £350 each.

Seen some aftermarket ones for 1/10 of the price but concerned about quality.

Need to put the 190 through an MOT soon. Depending on how it goes I'm looking at repairing the rear arches (small amount of corrosion) and replacing the drivers side wing.

If anyone knows of a bodywork specialist in Hampshire I would be grateful.
I don't think I'd recommend the pattern parts I fitted to my 190e. They were £80 each I think, and the fit is, umm, approximate.

Do you need new wings? I don't recall there being that much rust, so wouldn't a repair be feasible, possibly cheaper, and more 'original'?

The vendors informs us that around 2004 when the car had covered approximately 22000 miles the car was purchased by the grounds keepers father and brought to Scotland, the MOT test certificates from this time on show that the car covered very little mileage with it now showing 40300 miles."

The 500E Lite, as I like to think of it. My ol' man had one identical. What. A. Car.

Very nice but what an amazing way to waste six pictures.

Even in the link Stegel posted earlier it's really hard to tell the condition http://www6.amstock.co.uk/morrisleslie/StockDetail...

Perhaps that's the idea. There's plenty of scope for it being tatty up close.

bks! Just when you don't need it!

Went to pull away in the E38 today and immediately thought something doesn't feel and sound right. Only went 10-20 yards and turned it around back on to the drive.

Snapped FRONT coil spring! And in such a fashion right through the middle of it that a) I can't get out the two broken halves and b)the car has dropped so that the suspension leg cup rubs against the inner aspect of the tyre tread.

Whizzed over to my Indie in the A140 who is thankfully only a couple of miles away. He gave me a space-saver wheel and tyre which seemed like a good idea in order for me to at least limp the E38 over to him. I get back now and try to put it on before the light fades completely and...bks...the 728i SPORT has great big Brembo calipers on the front that the space-saver can't accommodate! bangheadbangheadbanghead
You have clearly angered the barge gods, a selling of a new, fuel efficient vehicle is required to win favour back with them. smile

Unlucky, big brakes are a pain, especially when trying to find a quick set of temporary rims for a refurb etc.
I was recently caught out with a space saver on my E92 - the one I bought to use while I waited for a matching out-of-stock-everywhere rear Kuhmo to turn up was fine until I had a puncture at the front - it went on but jammed around the calipers! Seems the 325i has bigger brakes than the 4 cylinder models.

Supplying cars without a spare is daft - supply a car without anywhere to put a spare if you want one is fking nuts.

First time posting a barge... What do you reckon would be a decent price for this big slow Volvo?

Looks lovely, would be nice if it were an auto. Rust doesn't look great either, though could be a lot worse given where its located.

I don't get these:

"It has 2 months MOT left but the car has just been serviced yesterday including a gearbox oil flush and change and I really have no doubts that it will sail through its MOT test."

Then why not put it through and get a better price for it?

Sub-bag for sure, 212k miles and rusty should rightly devalue it.

Nice old hector to wallow around in though!

Agree, utterly bizarre. Perhaps people don't think it's actually possible to MOT early?

Or nice base for a big turbo'd V8 sleeper project.
