What, any Aston?! That's a bit odd to write off a complete car marque based on a few appearances in movies that you don't even like. confused

He's a bit too 'rapey' for me and all this licensed to kill in the name of the Empire is just too right wing. Even VW with its fascist history made a car for the people not the elitist.

Power to the people!!!!
But if you are a bit rapey and enjoy punching women then this would be the ideal mode of transport.

It makes you wonder why they've never done a 'Yates Wine Lodge' edition? biggrin

He also drove a few BMWs, a handful of Fords, a couple of Lotus Esprits, more than one Land Rover, an Alfa and many more. I don't think Vauxhall ever featured so you're safe there.

It is still very much alive, but the point is that with the cars in the movies there is no need to put logos on the cars they sell to customers (any more than there is for some customers to have 007 numberplates).

Unfortunately when I hear ejector seat now, James Bond isn't the first thing that springs to mind, this is:

There will be a carpet warehouse owner called John Bond from Barnsley running to the AM dealership with a sample of Axminster carpet (in case dealer principal wants some for his living room) and wad of cash in his hand.

"Ay up lad, can tha have one of those Double oh 7 editions please. Will sit reet well down at 'tgolf club and all the lasses down at t'social will think I'm a spy like".

Still the only limited edition I would have been interested in, even without the missiles behind the radiator grille.

Aston Martins have an image that the general public (me included) perceive as classy.
Are the people in the marketing dept. trying to shake that off ?

This would be a cooler and less tenuous "as driven by James Bond" car to be seen in ...

it's the Renault Clio school of marketing, tailored and upgraded a bit for Aston Martin

Sorry £25k extra for a few logos? I don't think so, I love the link with bond over the years - astons are always one of the most beautiful cars on sale in my eyes - even if they're not as dynamic as some of their italian or german rivals! But £25k for some discreet changes is a waste imo.
