RE: Aston Martin DB9 Bond Edition
Discussion
To be owned by a 50 year old KPMG accountant with a taste bypass and an annual bonus.
The only thing sadder, is that someone, in fact 150 someones will part with 'their' not-so-hard earned money for this.
AML - Please, we expect more. Probably the most un-British move in the company's history.

The insistence of racing with 007 as the car number in several Le Mans was also pretty naff..
Okay Astons are used in Bond films, we get it! The cool thing would be to simply let the film do the advertising and leave it at that.
But it seems their model strategy is now governed by a bond film..... Car just for the film, sold in limited numbers for a quick buck.
Even better, get your new DB10 (or just call it a db9 again for brand identity) ready. Use that in the film and let the feel good factor help sales of the main model in the range.
Oh... and this car is just naff. I'd take the standard GT run out edition even if it was the same price. I like Omega watches, and have thought about the 007 special editions, but then I thought what exactly is it I'm getting that particular model for. So would just get a normal Omega.

Don't like the Bond tat on the car, don't like the blingy watch, and suitcases shouldn't have wheels. Could you really see 007 dragging a piece of luggage along, like a toy dog on a length of string being pulled behind a toddler?
I'm sure they'll all sell, but not to anyone with a modicum of taste. In fact I'd rather have one of Khan's Vengeance Astons - the more I look at it, the more I like it (but then I'm just a working class oik with no taste ).

Much more importantly, where is Jaguar's limited edition run of their Bond villain car from the new movie!!
Yes, agreed. They really do need to build some of these. Not even with the hybrid kit, just a big, dirty V8.
