I know someone who needs a set of wheels for a short period of time, and remember reading on here somewhere that someone wanted out of a lease deal.

As a thread, if you're looking to get out of a lease deal either pop a post on here or drop a PM over and there's a chance we could make something happen!! smile

I wouldn't mind getting out of my M135i business lease but I don't think they let you swap it over to someone.

If this was possible I'd love to get out of my M135i lease deal.

It's got 6 months and just over 10k miles left on it.

Just out of idle curiously and completely off topic - but why do you both want to get out of your M135i leases?

As much as its a great car, got lots of toys and very fast, after a year of driving it I'm a bit 'meh' as they say. It is at the end of the day just a BMW 1 series with a large engine (which is a peach by the way!) and better brakes

I went from a Porsche Cayman and I want to get back in one as I miss it and regret selling it now. Either that or I'm considering shedding/buying something a little cheaper it for a bit after the lease.

Are they business or personal? Coupe I presume?

Drop me a PM with the details - I've heard it is possible to do - a friend of mine took a 997 off someone on a lease deal.

Is that accepted by the lease companies? I did look for an FAQ on the site, but might not be able to see it on the iPhone.

When I arranged a lease car for my wife, I was told that was ok, as long as my name was on the insurance documents as a named driver.

You certainly couldn't just give your lease car to someone else, and I'm not sure all lease companies would be happy to arrange to swap your lease to someone else.

As far as I am aware a VAT registered company can transfer a lease car to another VAT registered company.

A personal lease can only be transfered to a VAT registered company.

So a person who wants a personal lease cannot transfer one from a personal or business lease.

Is that a VAT registered private limited company, or can it be transferred to sole traders aswell?

VWFS only transfer to private limited company's.

Fair enough. I'm in a Golf R and am loving it, but I suspect when it goes it'll get replaced by an MX5/Elise/VX220 and a bargain barge (Jag XJ/BMW 7 Series) as I need 4 seats on a day to day basis.
