Yes it really is just "tarting" up an old Porsche. Are you mad.

Perhaps you should watch the documentary. It is not as if he is wealthy either.

A shame that he hasn't achieved his goal of amazing cheaper cars for the 'enthusiasts' as mentioned about 2 minutes into the video. Prices have appeared to creep up with each new iteration.

They're lovely products, I'm just staggered that they can manage to charge what they do for what is essentially just tarting up an old Porsche, to put it uncharitably. Fair play to them, I would if I could!
Perfection comes at a cost - For example, the new (bespoke) wiring harness alone costs Singer $30k...

The majority of people who can afford such a car know quality when they see it. They also know when someone is trying to rip them off - let the Singer order books be a testament to this.
They might know quality but do they know value? I've seen the $30k figure for the loom quoted and mentioned in videos and it's un-reconcilable to my eyes. I suspect the people buying Singers are the same people who buy gold plated stereo cables.

These guys get a lot of (justifiable) adulation on PH but I'm a bit tired of hearing about them. I know - heresy.
Aren't there other outfits out there doing interesting things to other old stuff to exquisite standards?
If so I'd like to see some.

Ive genuinely no idea but how does bespoke wiring differ from normal wiring in other cars?
