Don't quite understand, tbh. I would agree that the off road ability does not matter for these cars. It's not that the main mission is towing stuck super minis? Then why not reduce the wheel size and ground clearance to something that makes sense from a technical point of view?

The 'off roading' required from these, especially in the commonly cited China/India markets isn't much more then going down some muddy untarmacked and potholed roads. It's not very taxing but some ground clearance stops the bodywork getting damaged.

Perhaps some fancy adjustable suspension might be the future.
