I'll look out for that mag, seems interesting.
In defence of EVO, you can write to them with suggestions on improvements or topics of interest you know, don't just quit, get involved and change it for the best?
I don't know why but EVO leaves me cold as well these days. My brother subscribes and every once in a while I'll read his copies but nothing like the front-to-back devouring of every page I used to do.In defence of EVO, you can write to them with suggestions on improvements or topics of interest you know, don't just quit, get involved and change it for the best?
I like the look of Modern Classic, I'll keep an eye out for it if I'm near a newsagent.

There's only so many 911/McLaren and Ferrari 458/488 / Lambo Huracan tests one can read,.,..
Oh, not to mention the obligatory tyre test thrown in when they've run out of ideas
And the fact that a whole issue is wasted on Car of the Year.
Got a copy of new mag today. its great, right up my alley! I have long said there was a gap in the market place for classics built after 1979, as Classic and Sports car and Classic car are stuck in a permanent 60/70s time warp, yawn, where anything that isn't an MGB, E Type, Aston or Triumph TR is NOT worth writing about.
As for EVO, I stopped my subscription over a year ago. Its very hit and miss these days. They are also completely up themselves these days. When they slated the new MX-5 for being too soft in the corners and then ran an article where all their boy racer readers agreed with them, I knew they had lost it. If it isn't massive BHP they just aren't interested.
Car is pretty good these days and I buy most issues. So now I have two monthly car mags, great. BTW, the next issue of Modern Classics looks great! 80s, 90s and 00s, Jap cars, Grrreeatt!
This sounds good. I subscribed to Evo for years, but stopped a while back as I wasn't getting the time to read it and I was generally just a bit bored after certain writers left. My parents subscribe to Readly and I sap off of that on my iPhone, so I flick through Autocar each week and have a quick read of Car, but that's about it nowadays. I'll definitely pick a copy of this up now that I know about it.
Not sure I can handle any articles on Clio 182 Trophies, though. Better to have loved and lost and all that.

Picked up a copy and aside from being slightly disappointed with the Lotus article it wasn't a bad effort, slightly nicer paper would be nice and at €4.95,it wasn't bad value versus the €7.38 I paid for Car.
Hopefully the staff car section expands, interested to read more on Z3 ownership
