Just insured my RX7 with flux with a very good price, mentioned my PH membership but fell into an agreed valuation trap some of you may want to be aware of.
They now use an online system for submitting MOT, pictures etc. Seems pretty good, except.....
When you use their website, it tells you all the things you need to submit. There is no way to complete it without filling in the number on the back of your credit card. To stay insured, I filled it in but said that I did not want an agreed valuation. I followed this up with a telephone call to confirm and they said it was not required, I would not be charged.
Guess what, I get charged anyway. When I complain, I basically get told "Tough, you ordered the agreed valuation. Now you've paid for it, you can switch to market value if you want".
The silly thing is that they also pay £20 for a copy of your home insurance schedule. I sent the forms for a 3-bed semi, I get back a quote on a 2-bed detached!
Since this outweighed the £15 agreed valuation charge and the quote was so good, I'll just let this one go.

Tale of two renewals
My van insurance with the AA was due 2 weeks ago. letter from the AA. No renewal figure, just call us for your renewal. Called the number on hold for 9 mins. It then took 42 mins to complete my renewal, nothing changed from last year but it just took ages, quite hard sell on the extras .
Car insurance with AF due on Friday, letter last week stating not only the renewal figure but also what I paid last year(drop in price this year). Just off the phone, on hold for 2 mins renewal in under 6 mins. I took one of the upgrades.
As it should be but worth a post

I'm only a few days into my new policy with flux. I already know that I'm not renewing next year. In fact I've already made a diary note. Life is too short to deal with their customer service again.
All I want to do is finalise an agreed value. I've phoned numerous times, I know their on hold tape by heart. When I've *eventually* been able to speak to someone there's no resolution, just a bored-sounding excuse.
I can only image how a claim would go.

Contrary to popular opinion, my recent renewal with AF has been good. They undercut any other quote I could get with £418.
I then spotted this thread and messaged Jamie to ask if I could get the PH discount. I've just received a call from them and my quote has dropped to £383. Many thanks Jamie.

Wait.. I thought that the discount was "already applied" according to past posts from him?
Seems more like a case of "making it up as we go along" to me.

I was hopping the reports of Adrian Flux being useless were a few bad experiences. Its all starting to ring true unfortunately and having called over 48 hours ago to get a quote on 3 vehicles and despite chasing, I am still waiting on them getting back to me with a quote!
Sorry to hear this, If you'd like to PM me some details I'd be happy to look into this for you.Jamie
